We arrived after 9.00 pm and were welcomed by the manager who was also working in the cafe attached to the apartments. The accommodation was excellent . Enjoyed the beautiful sea view while having breakfast

We had a fantastic time at this property. Ioanna and Panos were wonderful hosts and so kind and accommodating. The room itself was great and even had a kitchenette. Steps to the beach and local shops. The Cactus Cafe of the apartments had so many great things to choose from and they support local businesses too. Will definitely be back.

These apartments are perfect clean and comfortable my partner and I loved the location and stones walk away from the beach ,restaurant, it’s a nice quiet little village which was perfect for what we wanted. The hosts are really lovely people and couldn’t have asked for more.. the coffee shop next door which is run by the owner of the apartment does a great continental breakfast great coffee and the best chocolate croissant that are freshly made every morning. We will definitely be going back thank you for being so lovely.

There is a small patio with a lovely sea view from this apartment. The bed was comfortable and it had everything we needed. Parking was very easy. This is a good location to see this end of Crete!

Good location, practical, clean, extremely friendly staff
Just by the road into Kalyves, but traffic not very disturbing (bedroom at the back). 4 min walk to well stocked supermarket, 7 min to beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, 10-15 min to Kalyves center. Balcony with fantastic seaview and view of the sunrise. Most of th day the balcony is in the shadow, and the apt (1st floor) is not very hot. Everything working, but very sparsely equipped kitchen. Daily thorough cleaning. Manager and staff very forthcoming.

The hotel has a wonderful view from the balcony of the Cretan Sea and the Turkish fort near Aptera. The apartment clean, well furnished and had daily house keeping.

Lovely apartments clean, friendly and beautiful.
Apartments and the studio we stayed in were clean and we'll presented. Cleaned every day. Bed firm which I liked but the pillows also a bit hard. People are lovely and very helpful nothing is too much trouble. Would stay there again . A little walk to the shops and beach. Be aware that the roads are narrow and driving an be a bit scary.

Lovely quiet apartment by the sea
The apartment was just what we wanted, simple but good modern and clean facilities in the room, fridge and 2 ring cooker. The balcony looked out directly onto the sea across a quiet road, with beautiful views across to Akrotiri. George and family made us extremely welcome. About 5 mins walk to Kalyves, which is a quiet village with a few good Greek restaurants and a few shops. The beach is at the other end of the village but there's also another beach a short and pleasant stroll in the other direction. You can rent a car very cheaply in the village and driving is easy, we found this preferable to getting around on buses as it was a bit of a walk to the bus stop to Rethymnon and Iraklion.

Quite local town by the sea.
Great for a relaxing holiday close to some true natural treasures - the beaches are stunning! Exellent authentic food. Friendly and welcoming locals who are happy to share their knowledge of the best places to visit. Buses not so reliable so best to hire a car or moped if you want to travel round the island. Appartment are clean, spacious, including everything you'll need for your stay. I did'nt want to leave!!!

Great room, bit of a hike to the beach
After much disappointment with other places we stayed in Greece, Porto Kalyves was a breath of fresh air. The apartment was spacious, fully stocked and exceptionally clean. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay at a great price. It's a bit of a walk from the main beach in Kaylves, but it suited our needs perfectly. It's also a bit of a hike from the main bus stop (around 40 mins), but George's daughter very kindly picked us up near the station very late at night when we arrived. The only real issue we had was that we were not able to get wi-fi in our room (my boyfriend needed to do some work abroad), but this wasn't a unique problem during our stay in Greece.

Wir haben hier nur eine Nacht auf der Durchreise verbracht. Das Zimmer hatte sehr gute Matratzen, sehr leise Klimaanlage und das Abendessen war sehr gut allerdings nicht typisch griechisch! Alles in allem wie es sein sollte!
