Hotel du Parc, Arcachon
Hotel was quite basic, towels were not changed during our 4 night stay. The hotel only did breakfast which was bread/croissants/rolls with jam and butter, coffee and orange juice. There was no ham/cheese/fruits/yogurts. There was a good 30 minute walk to where all the main restaurants and shops were.

Brilliant
The hotel was great, situated in the prettiest part of Arcachon. A lovely 10 min walk through the pine woods to the beach. Fresh croissants and brioche every morning for breakfast on the balcony. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely come here again.

Lovely hotel
The room and communal areas were lovely and clean and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was included but fruit and yoghurt would have been nice in addition or instead of the pastries every day

Hotel was exceptional in terms of staff helpfulness, location, cleanliness. A 10/20 minute pleasant walk to the beach with a couple of decent restaurants with great views. Breakfast was continental brought to your room where you could eat on the balcony.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our needs. Close to the beach, short walk from town, quiet location, gorgeous balcony. The staff could not have been more accommodating. The pool area was beautiful. I would definitely stay again

A Gem
This was well positioned away from the beach but just a short 10 minute walk away. No dining room but breakfast was included and served every morning on our terrace... that was delightful. Perfect for a calm, peaceful stay.

Good hotel in excellent location
We enjoyed our second stay at the Hotel Du Parc. Our room was large and clean, with good bathroom that had a shower and bath. The English speaking management and staff were very helpful. The location of the hotel was ideal for us, a 10 minute walk through pine forest to the lovely sea front bars and restaraunt.

As a base for a beach holiday this hotel was excellent. My flight was delayed arriving after midnight. I called and staff told me my room number, said the key would be inside and the code to access the external doors. Breakfast on your own terrace was a very nice touch, and the pool was very nice. A nice quiet area but not far from downtown if you have a car. Most recommended...

A very nice small hotel where service was good. Things which were not so good are that it was very hot and had no air conditioning. Also there were no umbrellas around pool area so could not sit there when hot. We were advised when leaving that there were umbrellas and seats to take to the beach but there was no information anywhere telling us this

Nice room with balcony, where we had breakfast in the mornings, also a fridge which was useful. Quite difficult to find though. No Restaurant, but on the last night drove to a good one nearby.

Immaculate property
The owners obviously apply 5* standards to their property and service. There really isn't a blade of very green grass out of place. Stylishly furnished reception and bar area. Newly re-furbished rooms - individually styled - my friend and I had adjoining (spacious double for single occupancy) rooms so I am able to compare. Attractively and thoughtfully appointed - excellent bed & linens, Loo separate from bathroom, quality toiletries - soap, shampoo, shower gel etc. balcony furniture - cushions in wardrobe, also fan, extra blanket & pillows. Dial up breakfast - delicious bread, croissant & brioche, butter, jams, tea/coffee, delivered within minutes to room. Enclosed pool/jacuzzi/sun loungers - so clean. Parking. Hotel is on free shuttle bus route to town - 20mins away. The Du Parc is in a very quiet residential area approx. 5mins walk to beach and one restaurant - others are further away.

Great value - would recommend it
The rooms are great and the breakfast excellent. There is a pool and a jacuzzi behind the hotel. From the outside, the hotel has a 70s look but it all newly refurbished inside. I would recommend it.

Well positioned hotel in quiet area.
We spent three nights and were well satisfied. The staff in particular were welcoming and helpful. The only problem was that my lap top could not find the hotels wifi so I was forced to use a local bar!

A rather unflattering and boxy 1970's exterior, but in fact the hotel is really nice both in its residential area location ten minutes stroll from the beach and the newer interior fittings being introduced as the moment. The dynamic owner has a very clear vision of how the hotel should look, although these things take time. The modernised parts of the interior are lovely, but it will be good when the bath/showers have been updated with a proper shower fitting. Very helpful staff who rescued my 'British' car keys from behind a sofa cushion when we moved onto our next destination

What we liked:: having breakfast served on our balcony free wi fi extra internal door to the bedroom area pool area what we didn't like: poor sound insulation of windows and internal walls heat gain during day and no air conditioning making sleep difficult poor shower arrangement
