"The complex had everything we needed. Spacious and clean apartment with an amazing view over Funchal and the sea, with a nice size balcony and outdoors seating. The downside was the road in-between the accommodation and the facilities. "This was a great property located at the halfway point of the island so easy to explore either side. Close to a lovely beach and easy sea bathing with lots of shops too. The roads are steep but then they are anywhere in Madeira. Certainly a good workout if you decide to go walking on the numerous paths."

"Lovely colourful rooms. A bit on the small size but you don’t spend a lot of time in them. Great that as a little kitchenette but if I recall correctly no kettle? Nice little swimming pool at the back. Also can use Pestana pools next door. The pool restaurant next door could improve on their snack offerings. Offer simple things like hot chick fries and snacks. Good location, close to restaurants, grocery store and a great bakery/cafe (A Confeitaria). The staff was super friendly and helpful....

"Love Madeira and the place is in a great location. Unfortunatley, after booking our non-refundable five-night stay we were charged an additional $140 for an "additional guest fee". Even though the Vrbo is listed for four guests, he charged us an addition $140 because we had three total guests and the base rate price is only for two guests. Good luck if you have any more than two guests because you will be charged almost double for your stay and will not be able to cancel after you booked it."

"I had a lovely stay at The Vine. Right from check in the staff were very pleasant and always helpful. The rooftop bar has a lovely view at night time so is a great place to relax. The rooms are big with plenty of storage space. The location is great as many attractions in Funchal are a walkable distance. The airport bus also drops you off right outside the shopping center which contains the lifts to enter to hotel. The shopping center also has a supermarket in the basement which is handy for any essentials."

"We had a pool suite for a family of 4, and the room was enormous and so luxurious. The bed was very comfortable, and my children said that the sofa bed was too. We absolutely loved the pool on the balcony. Breakfast was very busy, and an amazing number of guests somehow manage to drop food on the floor. The staff were quick to clean it up and replenish the food. We had buffet dinner once and that was really nice. There was a good selection of food that was constantly topped up. The pools were excellent, but it was slightly annoying that other guests hogged the sunbeds by placing towels on them early in the day but didn't go there until later. "
