"We had a wonderful stay for a couple of nights at Bracken Hide. Everyone we met were super friendly and nice. We liked our cabin, nice view and cosy. We paid for the breakfast and it was great. They had a set menu to choose from. There were a lot of choices. We ordered the Scottish breakfast the first day and Eggs Benedict the next. Made to order cappuccino and hot chocolate. "We LOVED this property and would definitely stay again if we were in the area. The room was very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. It was a great location to walk to restaurants, bars, coffee shops and even the water. We had no issues parking and the staff were very friendly as well. It was a quiet place and we really enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend! "

"This was a LOVELY property and the owners are so kind. The view alone is worth booking for. Their restaurant (at the hotel) serves delicious dinner as well and is a short walk away. "

"The breakfast is excellent. Lovely staff. The heating was making lots of noise so we had to turn it off on our second night for us to get a goodnight sleep. Overall, it was a lovely 2 night stay, with a clean room and almost brand bew bathroom."

"Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the hosts. They provided tourist information for the surrounding area sites, restaurants and shopping. Our room had everything we would possibly need and was thoughtfully decorated. The breakfast was amazing and fuelled our hike up The Old Man of Storr in rain, 50mph winds and sideways hail. Thank you for contributing to our special memories made in Scotland!"

"Noisy location right near the plaza made worse by a food truck that pulled up at midnight. Room was small but fine except for the noisiness. Breakfast was ok. Hotel itself was beautifully presented. If it werent for the noisy people in the plaza the spot is perfect."

"Staying at Gleann an Ronnaich proved one of then highlights of my extended time in Scotland. The extra special touches made such a difference - a face-washer and shaving cream in the bathroom, very comfortable room & lounge area topped off by exquisitely crafted and cooked hot breakfast. Nothing seemed too much for the hosts, and close to town (Portree) too. Highly recommended!"

The welcome was fantastic

"We have travelled and stayed in too many hotels to count. There have so far been 2 that have stood out in our minds as giving excellent service. The Loch Maree has jumped to number one. Duncan who welcomed us, was fantastic. He surpassed any previous number ones! He could not do enough to help and make sure that we were comfortable and had all that we needed. When the Callan, came back from his holiday, he again was lovely, helpful and kind, but Duncan had already taken the top spot. The food was very good. We noticed that some people complained about the lack of choice. It is the end of the season and hotels are closing down, so naturally the choice will be a bit less. Each night there was a couple of different choices, from the night before. Had absolutely no complaint about the food, presentation and flavours."
