"This is a very unique property in that you check yourself in through a machine and locate your room by yourself. There is a communal dining area where you can prepare your own food. We had an issue with noise, being at the front of the hotel, and the manager who was present in the morning moved us and upgraded us to a remarkable room with a balcony! This is a beautiful property! It is very unique. The service was outstanding!"

"Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und erstmal ausführlich in das gesamte Anwesen eingeführt (inklusive Ausflug in die interessante Geschichte der Mühle). Haus und Grundstück waren sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Ausstattung hat wenig Wünsche offen gelassen und es gab mehrere Schlüssel. Das Highlight für uns war das gemütlich rustikale Kaminzimmer mit angegliedertem Bad im Ergeschoss das wir an dunklen Novemberabenden ausgiebig nutzen konnten. We were on a 3 week vacation so we were hoping to do some washing. However the kitchen was very well set up with an abundance of coffee and tea. The bedrooms are a good size and comfortable. "The apartment was very clean and fully equipped. It has its own parking place and it’s situated near the center of Alf. Restaurant nearby. For welcome their was a bottle of wine for us. Further Alf is very nice situated to visit the mosel area with winefields, lovely villages and castles nearby. We enjoyed our stay in your vacation home very much"

"We came to Trier for the Christmas market and to visit the Roman sites. The hotel was ideally placed for both. There's no restaurant but the hotel buffet breakfast was excellent and catered well for a gluten intolerance. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Parking in the underground carpark was fine if a little tight to navigate in a bigger car. The staff were excellent and helpful. They spoke perfect English but humoured our schoolboy German! All round good."

"The hotel is great value for money. Some of the rooms appear to be undergoing renovation at the moment. My room overlooked the river, with a nice view of the old Roman bridge. It's a short but interesting walk to the hauptmarkt, Karl Marx's birthplace and museum, Trier Dom, Porta Nigra, and other sights. I'd happily stay here again. "
