"We enjoyed our stay here very much. Our kids were very excited because the room was very large. I had a great night's sleep - I hope to stay longer next time. The bath was great, too. I used to live in this area, so it was really great to be back in the local area. It was also great to stay in a very authentic Japanese area, a much more interesting experience for my family than staying in a hotel. Also, there is a great beach area about 15 minutes away on foot. "グループや家族で出かけるのに本当に素晴らしい施設ですが、他の方もご指摘の、１）タブレットでのチェックインの手続きに時間がかかる、２）エアコンの自動切り替えの点で、価格との期待値のバランスを鑑みて、星を一つ減らしました。チェックインでは、もう少し簡単な他のスマートな認証方法があるといいと思いました。エアコンの自動切り替え（夜中に勝手にオンになる、その際の音が気になって眠れなくなる）については、カビ防止のための自動の温度設定がされているとご回答をいただきましたが、宿泊者の睡眠が妨げられるので、夏場滞在者がいる際には自動設定オフにしていただくと良いのではないかと進言しました。アメニティの設置なども細かい連絡を確認しながらないになる点は、ラグジュアリ体験ではないので、グループの中にまめな人が一人いると解消すると思います。立地はレンタカーでの移動が必須の場所ですが、バスルームの設備、快適なベッド、広々としたお庭と何より素晴らしい景観で、長期滞在も充実すると思います。2泊3日では少し短かったです。"

"Great house for a larger group. We were pleased with amenities provided. TONS of towels (a luxury in Japan)! This property owner provided AMAZING instructions (with pictures!) explaining how to get to the home. However, the check-in process was a little challenging if you’re not tech savvy or don’t have the Line app. Please make sure your app is working before you get there. Super close to the beach and access to the trail leading to Sumoto Castle, a long walk to the conbini or grocery store."

"The view from the hotel of the Wakayama castle is stunning, especially at night, when the castle is lit up! Walking the castle park in the morning was wonderful. Parking was in a building next door, 1000¥/day with easy in and out privileges, and lots of parking. I am a big fan of Daiwa Roynet, having stayed at 4 different locations this year—good locations, great staff, clean and well designed rooms. 👍"

View of Castle

"Amazing hotel with an even better view. I had a superb view of Wakayama’s castle straight from my hotel room. Of course the staff were nice and the room was clean and comfortable. The location is brilliant although it is about a 15-20 minute walk to one of the two close by train stations. I would strongly recommend this hotel for the view! "
