"Sehr nette Vermieter im benachbarten Haus. Guter Ort, um Ausflüge in die Umgebung zu unternehmen. Am ca. 1 km entfernten, kleinen See habe ich meinen ersten Fisch, eine Plötze gefangen. Dort kann man auch schön baden und das Kanu vom Vermieter liegt auch dort für eine kleine Runde um den See. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Zugang zum Schlafbereich sehr steil und die Betten waren sehr weich. Aber alles sehr gemütlich und Wlan hat auch gut funktioniert."

Der Blick von der Terrasse ist traumhaft und das Saunagebäude bietet alles, was ein Saunagang benötigt - inkl. Blick auf den See. "Nice little cottage surrounded by forest but minutes from downtown Amal. A few extra steps to book, but nothing difficult. Modern interior, fully stocked kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and coffeemaker, king size bed, strong AC in the main room, nice hot shower. Bring your own linens and towels, they are not provided. Indoor bathroom has a camp toilet, easy enough to figure out. FYI, parking is about 80 feet from the cottage, no driveway or sidewalk. I would definitely stay again."

"Absolutely enjoyed 10 days on this historic property! The property is adjacent to the fortress and the hotel is a converted Soldiers barracks. A sense of tranquility and peacefulness surrounds you when you walk around the property. The property is well maintained and oversees the city of Halden. The staff made my family feel like home. The staff were professional and kind; they made us feel welcomed. The staff checked on our family when we were off the property for over 24 hours to ensure we were ok and safe. The daily breakfast buffet was delicious with an array of local, organic, cold and hot items. The dining area is clean and have the best lasagna on their dinner menu. We plan to return to Norway and plan to return to the Fredriksten! "
