"This is an old hotel, and it has been around for a while. Therefore, it was not new and modern; which is no problem for me. It was quiet, most of the time. There was some passing traffic occasionally and I train whistle on a couple of occasions, but, for me, reasonable. As for shopping: there is a grocery store, a gas station, a pizza parlor all within walking distance as well as an attractive swimming area nearby. I got a good nights sleep, which is why I stayed there."

"The home was absolutely spotless and included everything which we could have wanted. The kitchen was exceedingly well-equipped and the bathroom included lots of small niceties, including soft and fluffy towels. Wendy has put a great deal of thought and effort in making sure that guests have everything they need and that they feel 100% welcome. Rufus is conveniently located 45 minutes East of the Hood River / White Salmon area, and near to the Maryhill Museum of Art. We look forward to visiting again."

"I loved finding this quiet and cozy place to rest my head off. The room was very clean and equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to Jessica at the front desk, as well as the very kind night shift attendant. And, without forgetting Alicia, the housekeeping employee, I congratulate her for her excellent work. I'm a truck driver and I sleep in hotels most nights, and this is one of the best places I've ever found. I will 100% recommend it to my colleagues. And whenever I'm in the area, I won't hesitate to have a good rest. Congratulations to everyone."
