"The staff were very friendly and helpful. They arranged our taxi in the morning and it all went smoothly. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and our room was on the small side, but very comfortable. The beds had mosquito netting, though it hardly seemed necessary. The toilet tank didn’t feel, but there was a water spray available to fill it manually, so it really wasn’t a problem. The restaurant on side was really pleasant. The vegetable curry was outstanding. The chicken rosemary was meager. The...

"The place is what you pay for I guess. You'd think £60 would go farther in Tanzania but apparently not, Arusha is expensive. Basically, rooms are like prison cells, bathrooms terrible, and it took a few tries to find a room with working aircon. Staff were friendly enough if a little inefficient. What is with having to ask for toilet paper all the time - just have some in the room, its a basic necessity!!!"

Four Points By Sheraton Arusha, The Arusha Hotel

"This is a great hotel right in the middle of Arusha. Good breakfast, spacious rooms and a big beautiful garden to wander through. Take advantage of happy hour in the Hatari Bar. A few notes: Arusha is a busy, noisy city and you're right in the middle of it. Don't expect rooms near the road to be quiet. Doesn't bother us as we live in a busy city, but might bother you if you're not used to it. The front desk will arrange a driver for you to take you wherever you need to go, but there are a few decent coffeeshops/restaurants you can walk to, as well."

Friendly service, comfortable for shortstay

"The hotel rooms were a good size, very clean, well serviced, but quality of the sheets was not good, as on the five nights that we did stay overall on our holiday, we found holes in the bottom sheet on two occasions. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was no problem for them to address any concerns, they acted immediately to remedy situations. The manager was a lovely person who went out of her way to meet our comfort needs. Location of the hotel was in an out of the way location, one felt you could not go out for a meal as there was no local restaurants nearby. Meals at the hotel were generally tasty but buffet breakfast items were frequently lukewarm, almost cold. This hotel might be ok for a one or two nights stay especially for groups which are there for conferences or heading off for a safari, but a longer stay as we did, we wouldn't recommend as there is nothing to see or do in the vicinity. You would have to have tours organised each day. "
