The property looks out over the Gulf of Arazachena with a view of Cannigione and the Maddalena archipelago, one of the best examples of Mediterranean scrub, full of granite rocks, olive trees, juniper and arbutus; a natural paradise located between Porto Cervo, Baja Sardinia and S. Pantaleo on the Emerald Coast, less than 2 km from the sea. It is an old property consisting of two small stone houses and a villa in the middle of a natural paradise on the Emerald Coast between Porto Cervo, Baja Sardinia and San Pantaleo, less than 2 km from the sea and about 22 km from Olbia. 'Le tre pietre' is situated along a path that was once traversed by wagons which stopped here to load and unload wheat and to load bread cooked in the two ovens which still exist today.
Inside the property there are some large granite rocks, from which it gets its name, 'Le Tre Pietre' (The Three Rocks), among which, on one of them, due to its particular concave shape, was used by farmers to clean their spikes of wheat with the help of the wind which scattered the scrap pieces. Today, this same granite has become a popular solarium, especially during the mid-season, when it releases the heat accumulated from the sun’s radiation and gives healthy warmth to the body, one of the things our guests look forward to most.
The surrounding landscape is made up of granite rocks softened by meadows and Mediterranean scrub full of typical plants and aromatic herbs such as myrtle, rosemary, lavender and wild fennel, juniper, arbutus, olive and oak which make the air oxygen-rich, dry, pure and fragrant.
The restoration of the stone houses, 'stazzu' in Gallurese (the local language), was completed very painstakingly through the recovery of the original stones, while respecting the orientation and position that came from a thousand years of local knowledge, such as their position in relation to the sun and wind, the presence of drinking water and the proximity of meadows for pasture.
