Alpine Cabin, Ashford

Beautiful cabin home. Perfect for family getaway. Enjoy what mother nature has to offer in this gorgeous cabin home that is nestled in the woods and just a short distance to Mt. Rainier. Great for hiking and getting away from the hustle and bustle of life. You will find peace and serenity mixed in with wildlife that equals a relaxing and peaceful stay at the cabin.

The space
This amazing log cabin home has two bedrooms and 2 baths, kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry area, and huge great room. It is a quarter mile from the entrance of Mount Rainier National Park.

The two bedrooms both have queen sized beds, and the master comes with a full bath. The second bathroom is shower only.

The great room is also a common area that has two queen beds in it and a bunk bed set with two twin beds. It is also a perfect place for family entertaining. With foosball table, 65" TV, DVD PLAYER, and games for both adults and children, it also has books for all ages and toys. A large comfy sectional.

There's a washer and dryer, microwave, refrigerator, fully stocked kitchen, stove, wood fireplace, and a fire pit in the backyard as well as a charcoal grill to BBQ.

There is hiking nearby all-around and a restaurant in walking distance. While enjoying the backyard, there's wildlife that you will see periodically. Families of deer perhaps, it's a great way to get back to nature.

The home was built by my grandparents in 1988. They lived there and also ran their business Alpine gallery out of the gallery side that is now the huge great room. My grandmother also painted her beautiful oil paintings, and my grandfather crafted many creative things over the years.

We would love to share our family home with you and yours to enjoy the beauty of the home and surroundings.
One night stay is available during the week. Feel free to book for one night stay during the week.

This was a perfect place for our group of runners and is conveniently located very near the entrance of Mt Rainier. Waking to a herd of elk in the backyard was a lovely bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean and well equipped and very convenient to the park for hiking in the Paradise area and even over to Sunrise. Host kept in close touch. Water pressure was very variable, such that we occasionally needed to re-arrange shower time for our group of four men hikers.

Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay if you’re looking to stay near Mount Rainier national Park. The house easily accommodated our party of eight. Only negative was the lead in the Water so that we had to use other drinking water accommodations that were provided.

Super clean cabin, great big family room, perfect for two families! Yes you can smell the iron in the water and it’s a bit yellow but we just brought plenty of water bottles and we were just fine and that is in the description before you even book the cabin. Right by the Nisqually entrance for Mt. Rainier.

All the kids loved this place. Great layout for 2 families (4 adults & 5 kids). Location was great for food options (Wildberry next door) and exploring in Mt. Rainer (8-minutes from entrance). Clean and comfortable stay. Only negatives were: bed in the master bedroom a little too soft for my liking, lil trouble getting the dryer door to stay shut (ended up using a chair), and the iron in the water was odd (not sure why a filter isn't installed to correct this). We worked around all of these issues and this would not prevent us from staying again because we really liked this place.

The cabin was beautiful and SO close to the entrance of Mt. Rainier. It was the perfect starting point for trips into the park. There were 6 of us, but could have added more easily. The history of the home is also very special. We loved it!

We only had one night but what a great place to stay and perfect location to Mt. Rainier. There were four of us and the place was so spacious- would be a great place to bring a large family with the game room and sleeping arrangements. Thanks for everything- very clean and everything was just as described.

Incredible log home just minutes from the entrance to Mt. Rainier. We were barely here, but the first thing the kids said when they saw the place was, "how come we are only staying here one night?!?". Beautifully decorated and well equipped. Yes, it has hard(iron)water, which is typical of well water. Any property in the area would be the same. There is a 5-gallon bottled hot and cold-water dispenser provided. I plan on staying here again.

Cabin was spacious & clean. Comfy beds. Lots of puzzles, toys & games for little ones. Very close to park entrance. If you are big water drinkers, be prepared to bring bottled water.

The cabin was very well located to get into Mt Rainier and about 30 min got you to quite a few small towns with stores and restaurants. There was a small issue with the lighting that occurred right before we checked in, but the host made sure to make it right by offering us a generous discount and ample head lamps while getting the issue resolved. Would definitely recommend you stay here!

We stayed at the cabin for 2 nights in early September. The accommodations were perfect for the 4 of us and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay again! The host (Heidi) was very responsive to our few questions. There was a nice Himalayan restaurant next door which was perfect for dinner. We would definitely recommend this cabin for your family's/group trip to the Mt. Rainier National Park!
