"My son his wife and their two children loved our stay at the Borg residence. It was spacious, quite and had all the amenities needed to make our stay enjoyable. We were able to meet with our friends and mix with friendly and hospitable people. It's refreshing to be in an area with no crime where people are laid back and inviting. "I stayed here with my family (2 adult couples, 1 10 year old) in late September. We got lucky with great weather. The house got a lot of sun - we made good use of the window shades! - and we soaked it up on the deck. Several of us enjoyed a dip in the fjord and a soak in the hot tub afterwards. We rented a boat from the hotel next door one day, and went hiking another day. It was a great place to relax and enjoy nature, and had everything we needed. "

I would return to this hotel on a future trip

"The hotel staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. I had an accident shortly after arriving in Bergen which necessitated our return home. The hotel extended our stay on a day by day basis while we rearranged flights. Breakfast and evening meal were included and was good. Note that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations but it was not so noisy as to be an unpleasant stay."

"The hotel was within walking distance of dining, shopping and the Funicular. The breakfast offered each morning had a broad selection of breads, meats, cheeses and many types of egg dishes. The beds were probably the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Lovely classy hotel in an excellent area. Everything was walkable, and breakfast was amazing. A la carte and buffet options available. The room was elegant and cosy. It was my Wife's 50th birthday just before we stayed, and the hotel put out some fudge and hand wrote a birthday message that I prepared, on a lovely post card, which my Wife has kept as a keepsake. I wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you Opus XVI for a wonderful stay."
