"We had a wonderful stay at Villa Michelangelo. The house is spacious and clean and has a fantastic view of the lake. It is a great place to stay to explore the lake and surrounding villages. "

The apartment is nice and comfortable with a great balcony to enjoy the view. I would recommend getting there during the day since it can be a bit tricky at night. Pay attention to the fact that there are 3 flights of steps to climb, but if steps are not a problem, the view is totally worth it!!!"

"We had a great stay. Communication was excellent. They answered questions at all hours to help us get the most out of our travel. It was really a very beautiful place to stay. Only downside was the church bells that rang late and early and the rooster that woke you up each morning."

"It was very cute and homely, however the interior design was a little bit outdated but nothing which impacted the stay. The initial directions given were a little bit confusing but once we asked the reception we were guided to the right path. It’s a lovely location with an amazing gelato store very close by as well as a gorgeous church nearby. There are many amenities such as a washer and drying rack and a fully equipped kitchen. "

"Everything about the house is fantastic with great views across Lake Como. The hosts, Danielle and Marco were flgreat and greeted us upon arrival. We were very spoilt with a bottle of bubbly and delicious snacks. The house was a little further out of Varenna than we thought, but we love to walk and we think we left fitter than when we arrived. We would definitely recommend staying at El Lavandee."

"Great base for exploring the beautiful area. Car essential. Highlight was our train ride from Lecco to Varenna and walk up to the castle. Host Nicolla very responsive and helpful. "Definitely worth it if you don’t like being right in city center or like taking a bit of a stroll. I really enjoyed walking along the lake to downtown. The hotel is modern and clean. The staff is really great. As frequent hotel guest, I’m not asking for perfection, I need the hotel to be attentive as life happens. The hotel was able to fix issues without interrupting my trip which I appreciate. "
