What we like the most of Cecil Hotel is that it is located in the middle of everything. Since it is situated in city center expect loud noises from the main street. I find their room rate is reasonable for backpackers.

Good value for money double rooms good size with balcony fridge decent size toilet and shower. Promenade location in the center if everything. Good hot and cold breakfast selection. Would stay again and recommend. Major danger at this hotel incase of fire do not follow emergency exit signs they all lead to chained and locked fire exits with heavy security bars which could present a death trap in case of a emergency. In case of evacuation only use stairs leading to main reception

No frills accommodation but clean and central to all the sites. I loved the charm of the building and the central lift. View from the roof area is wonderful. As a single traveller the room suited, small shower results in water going over the floor but honestly who cares about that. Would definitely stay again
