The advert for this property is not clear and should state that its a shared homestead. Its an acreage home that has multiple bedrooms with ensuits, a lounge and kitchen shared with others. There is no fridge in the rooms, just a shared fridge in the main kitchen, No AC - just a small convection heater for those cold nights and completely see-through curtains leading out onto an open rear deck.... the advert actually states blockout curtains? There are no staff on site so a code is required to collect your keys on arrival and being at the end of a dirt road with limited lighting on site, i would be cautious if travelling alone especial in the late hrs.

It was raining and on twilight when we arrived, we had to drive up a gravel road, past some storage tanks to what looked like a deserted place, an automated lockbox that we then had to work out where to go. Turns out we were in a room in a shared house . It was seriously creepy and we felt isolated as there was nothing around except bushes and no lights or civilization . If I was there on my own, I would have turned around found somewhere else to stay . It was clean and smelt sterile . The blinds in the room had broken slats which didn’t help with the feeling that we were in a deserted house high on a hill above Atherton in the middle of the night. Just to top it off, someone came into another room in the middle of the night just to freak us out more ! It would be great for 4 couples to take over whole house , on ur own , no !

Expedia rebooked us into this property, which is associated with Blue Gum B&B and Summit B&B, neither of which provide breakfast. The instructions for collecting the keys at Blue Gum provided a phone number and required us to phone at least 24 hours prior to arrival to receive the instructions. The phone number didn't work and after trying to contact the property for well over 24 hours we contacted Expedia. Likewise they couldn't contact the property so rebooked us at what turned out to be an associated property. The view from Summit was great and we were lucky that the other guests were nice people but the facilities were overpriced and we didn't receive value for money.

When we booked the accommodation it was showing that it’s for up to 6 people but we got charged $40 as we were 4 adults and 1 child. In addition, we paid $20 for the internet but it still did not work. Very poor internet. So, in total we got charged $60 which should’ve not been charged.

Not available last minute and could not find the property or call at the last minute early in the morning after booking on day of stay after a huge work commitment driving grain cairns to Mareeba to Atherton to Turn around and drive all the way back to Cairns after 0200. Was a shame as was looking forward to staying there it seemed a lovely place to stay at the lady minute. Maybe next time

The name is misleading, didn't see any rainforest, just a bit of bushland on the drive up the dirt road to the retreat. While clean, the room is sterile and date, with minimal appointments. The bathroom is much too small for 2 adults let alone for a room that is fitted out to accommodate 5 people. No staff on site while we were there. No air con control so we were not able to make the room comfortable. We would have been more comfortable in a cabin in a caravan park and it would have cost us 1/3 the price.

Upon arrived, there was no staff to greet guests. Only a box with security codes. Pool covered over, looked abandoned and scarce. Not like the pictures online. “Unit” 3 was clearly a conference room. Table against the wall no chairs. Positive if we wanted to run a classroom we had a projector and a white board along with tables under the TV to educate them. Also included sauna bedrooms so if the temperature rose dramatically we would have to luxury of sweating our butts off due to no air conditioning. If you want a stay that’s run like a seminar then this is for you! Can’t complain about the service as there was none.

This is a great location. The only thing that could be more apparent when you book is that you are getting a room within a house. So there is a lot of shared spaces that you need to be aware of. If you are taking the whole place it has great view and grounds

Nice, quiet, clean and relaxing Downside property didn’t contact me back regarding how to check in past the said check in Raine stated on the website, got there with the only direction of a code (had to ask another guest where to go), tried calling the property to find out where exactly our room was located, they didn’t answer, there is also no maps or signage showing where rooms are so we wandered around for a bit looking for the room. Made for a stressful start
