"Athens Gate is a fantastic hotel. The customer service is exceptional. I found all the staff friendly and welcoming. Greeted by a concierge and a lovely receptionist I felt very welcome. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The restaurant is on the top floor with a lovely view of the Acropolis. The choice at breakfast is wide with fresh coffee and tea served at the table. Bar prices are very reasonable. The location is great too being situated near several excellent restaurants. The open top bus (which is useful) is very close too."

"This hotel is ideally situated whereby you can walk within a half mile to the traditional attractions. The area, however, is very congested with people, taxis and motorcycles. And this wasn’t even peak season! The hotel is clean; the staff is friendly and helpful and all of them speak English; the room is spacious and comfortable; and the best amenity is the breakfast with views of the Parthenon! I highly recommend this hotel. "
