Lake Superior Lodge w/Private Lakefront Large Deck, Island Views, Pictured Rocks

Large Home on the shore of Lake Superior. Lodge has all amenities included. Huge 2nd level deck with patio furniture to relax and observe the lake. There is a very large yard and parking area. The Lodge has everything a normal house would have. Dishes, cookware, tableware, etc... There are 5 bedrooms, two with a King, two w/queens, and the 5th has twin full size bunk beds, sleeping a total of 12 guests. There are three full size bathrooms, 2nd level bathroom has a shower/Jacuzzi tub combo and the 1st level bathrooms have shower stalls. Included in your stay is a gas grill with propane, all bedding, towels and linens as well as a 55" Smart TV, WiFi and internet streaming service.

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore begins in Munising, which is only a 15 minute drive away and there are over a dozen waterfalls within a 30 mile radius of this home. The National Lakeshore provides days worth of outdoor activities and adventures. Nearby AuTrain Lake and AuTrain River provide a wonderful place to enjoy swimming, water sports, fishing or a relaxing paddle. The AuTrain River provides excellent swimming where it empties into Lake Superior, and kayaking as it winds 7+ miles through the Hiawatha National Forest. Kayak rentals are available, otherwise feel free to bring your own, there is plenty of space to park your boat, trailer or whatever you bring. If you are into fishing, Bass, Walleye or Pike are your most commonly fished in AuTrain Lake, and Trout and Salmon in Lake Superior. Kayaks are available for rent.

I have seen nearly everything in this area and am a great resource during your stay. I will meet with you after you arrive and give you advice about the area and things you can enjoy during your vacation.

Family Holiday
Four generations enjoyed this beautiful location for an unseasonably warm early March weekend. Plenty of room to make memories and still have your own space to breathe. Open floor plan was perfect for cooking, eating and playing games together without being too crowded. The view of the lake is phenomenal. The location is close to plenty of outdoor activities for the entire family.

Great location!
Great location and absolutely stunning sun rises over Lake Superior. Was comfortable for a large family. Would recommend a few extra blankets on beds and better pillows but overall really happy with our stay.

Yooper Paradise on Lake Superior
Comfortable vacation home right on Lake Superior. Enjoyed the lake views from sunrise to dark each day. Home was nice and spacious for a large family, with good Wi-Fi, and A/C on the one evening we wanted it. I hope to return next summer.

Great Place For A Family Vacation
Amazing property! The views of Lake Superior never get old. We had 9 people (6 adults, 2 children, and 1 toddler) and a dog, and we never felt cramped. The balcony was wonderful and we spent a lot of time hanging out there. Would recommend this property to anyone!

Fun with Family
Our stay was filled with fun being together and beautiful being right on the lake. I loved the view from the deck, overlooking the water. The kids had plenty of space to run and play and the adults enjoyed the restful atmosphere. We explored rivers and other lakes to fish and kayak, played at the beach in Au Train, enjoyed Grand Island on the glass bottom boat, and had plenty of kitchen wares to cook with ease and eat well!

Our UP experience
We loved our trip and felt the location, with the views from the house, made the whole vacation sooo much better! It was a fantastic view of Lake Superior right from the living room, deck and firepit! We had easy drives to many of the waterfall hikes and short drives to a different restaurant every night. You do have to be able to handle taking stairs when coming and going, but if that isn't a problem for you, we highly recommend this place.

Very Happy
We had a great time here. We had 12 people & we never felt like we were on top of each other. Beds were comfortable & they truly do have everything available at the house to cook with, which was awesome! Communication with Cory was great.

Perfect for snowmobile group
Our group is 4 couples with 4 trucks and trailers. Plenty of parking, beautiful house with perfect layout for us, close/easy trail access. Cory was very helpful! The house felt bigger than I was expecting from the pictures. Plenty of space for all of us and all our gear. Northwoods charm and beautiful Lake Superior views. We will stay here again next time we’re back in the area.

Excellent customer service
Good house that’s a bit smaller than the pictures. Still big enough for us. And it’s an upside down house which might make a difference for older/less able folk. A bit worn and tired but everything was clean. We had a hard time with tv and finding key and owner response was immediate!

Sibling Getaway
We absolutely loved our stay at the Lodge. My family repeatedly thanked me for booking it. Being on Lake Superior is an experience everyone should have! Except for a few issues, we would book it again. I had seen a recliner in the pictures and have a brother that needs to sleep in an upright position but when we arrived, there were only very low couches. The beds were very comfortable for the rest of us. Since we were all seniors, it would have been good to have a railing on the stairway. Overall though, we loved our time there!

Beautiful location on the shore of Lake Superior
Overall we had a positive experience. The location was great and there are so many winter activities to keep an active family busy. The property was clean and the kitchen well stocked. Our only negative (and it’s a biggy) is that the lower level, which has 3 of the bedrooms and 2 baths, as well as a family sitting/TV room was virtually unheated. The exterior door was ill fitting, letting in so much cold air. There was a gas fireplace, but when we attempted to start it, it set off the carbon monoxide detector. We quickly shut that down! A suggestion to the owner, invest in 4 electric oil heaters, 1 for each of the bedrooms downstairs, as well as the sitting area. We were unable to use the downstairs except for sleeping and used all the extra blankets provided. We luckily had a warmish weekend, and I can’t imagine if the temperature had been the normal for late January.

Beautiful view, great location
We had a wonderful time at Cory‘s property. The house was very spacious and accommodating. Three bathrooms with showers made it very easy for everyone without any problems in the morning, and when we were turned back to the house from our explorations. The bedrooms were all well spaced out and cozy. And for the kids, more importantly, the Wi-Fi was very good. The house was stocked with everything we needed, and we were very much centrally located between Munising and Marquette. Although we did not have very good weather this week, there were plenty of options of things to do to fill our time, and it was quite amazing to see the change of weather patterns right on the shore from the house. I, myself, enjoyed getting up in the morning, and then upon return in the evening to wade out into Lake Superior for a chilly soak in the 41° water. Cory was very responsive and provided great information of the area. While I don’t anticipate us coming back to this part of the UP, I do highly recommend this property as it is an amazing location and we had a great overall stay.

HUSBANDS 60TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
THE HOUSE LOCATION RIGHT ON THE LAKE WAS FABULOUS..WE ENJOYED ALL OF THE WATERFALLS AND LIGHT HOUSES IN THE AREA. IT WAS EASY TO FIND AND ENJOYED OUR STAY. WE DID HAVE A FEW ISSUES THOUGH. WE DIDN'T ARRIVE UNTIL AFTER MIDNIGHT AND WHEN WE GOT THERE, THE WATER WAS NOT WORKING. I DID NOT WANT TO CALL THE PROPERTY MANAGER SO LATE SO MY HUSBAND WHO IS VERY MECHANICALLY INCLINED THOUGHT TO CHECK THE FUSE BOX AND THE BREAKER FOR THE WATER WAS OFF SO THAT FIXED THAT. WE WERE TOLD TO PUT OUR GARBAGE IN THE DUMPSTER WHICH WE COULD FIND BETWEEN THE HOUSE AND THE GARAGE. THERE WAS NOT ONE TO BE FOUND.. IT SHOWED UP 2 DAYS LATER AT THE END OF THE DRIVEWAY. WE WERE GOING TO GRILL CHICKEN ON THE GRILL AND THE GAS WAS EMPTY SO I CALLED TO FIND OUT IF THERE WAS ANOTHER TANK SOMEWHERE...I GET A RECORDED MESSAGE SAYING THEY WERE BUSY AND TO LEAVE A MESSAGE OR TO TEXT THAT NUMBER SO I AM STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONS TO MY TEXT MESSAGE THAT WAS 4 DAYS AGO. WILL WE GO BACK TO MUNISING FOR VACATION, ABSOLUTELY. WILL WE STAY AT THIS PROPERTY AGAIN PROBABLY NOT

Family vacation
3 generation get together. There was 7 of us and we had a lot of room and we definitely love the area. The Lodge property is beautiful and the view! The house is large and roomy. Upstairs could use some TLC the bath especially. The stairs from lower level to upstairs are unusual we did get use to them but no rails and you have to duck when you reach the floor. The dining area is cramped it has a table for six which is needed but one of the chairs is wobbly so we didn’t use it. There is china cabinet that is filled with collectibles but is in the way. The deck is huge and has many tables and chairs but the deck rails iffy for small children or small pets which we didn’t have. Now to the stairs! The rails are way too low and we had to be very careful. There is a beautiful swing by the water edge but no other seating for the grounds except a picnic table and wood stumps to sit by the fire pit. Chairs would of been really nice. So we would not had to bring chairs up and down the stairs. Such a beautiful piece of property. Just be aware of stairs. Would love to see upstairs updated. Our weather was fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay.
