"The hosts bent over backwards to personalise our stay, whilst respecting our privacy. From the homemade tablet, pancakes and artwork to the birthday balloons and beers, we had a lovely break. The cabin has everything you need, and the hot tub is fantastic to soak in under the stars. We just wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area more. Thanks to Christine, Billy and the adorable Duke! "

All in all a great stay since being there for 5 nights we had a kitchen/fridge/dining table and living room - especially since most breakfast restaurants are not open until 9am. "Lives up to it's rating. Looks like the rooms may have been refurbished recently? Carpet looked brand news, beds felt brand new. Faultless stay. Can't comment on breakfast, didnt pay for it. If you live gin the bar has a massive selection and lots of other options. Didnt eat in the restaurant but it was busy which is a good sign.Room was quiet, clean, comfortable, window could open for air, radiator could be adjusted so it was never too hot or cold. Staff were all excellent. Great value. "

Surprisingly great stay

"Our room had recently been refurbished and may also have been an upgrade (ask for room numbers 10-16). Facilities and decor were excellent, with a walk-in shower, comfortable bed and free parking. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel but the restaurant was very busy. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was of a good standard. Staff were friendly and professional so we would have no hesitation in recommending the Royal Hotel."
