"We rented the chateau to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with children and grandchildren (13 of us). Everyone was delighted with the beautiful and spacious home, the property and the location. We were able to travel to many wonderful places nearby and a little bit further out in France. It was an amazing time in a fairy tale place."

"My wife and I are usually very careful when it comes to booking a holiday but somehow this one got under the radar! We thought we had a bed not a bed settee, we thought there was a fully fitted kitchen, there wasn't, we thought we could use the lake, we couldn't as it was closed, I expressly asked twice if I could bring a kayak but had no reply, nor were we told the lake was out of action due to Algie, we also didn't know that pretty much absolutely everything else was extra, TV, Wifi, swimming,...

"Lovely old building with pleasant grounds but the unit lacked a great deal. Firstly, no air conditioning on a 34 degree day is a huge problem for anyone. We had to ask for a fan and leave windows on ground floor open all night in order to get some kind of sleep. NOT IDEAL for safety. Kitchen facilities were lacking, no chopping/cutting board, no sharp knife to cut anything, no microwave heating bowl, slow oven top, no egg spatula or tongs, no toaster. "Very strange "kitchen" with a stove put on top of what was a bar and is extremely high. No extraction hood so its mpossible to cook. Bathroom without window or extraction fan. Constant noise right outside the door. The ad says the owner speaks French and English but they don't speak a word of English. We did not see the super well equipped place mentioned in other reviews. We do not recommend this place."

"A quiet setting in a single storey rear annexe. The open-plan living/djning/kitchen area was spacious and well equipped. We appreciated Claudie’s friendly welcome and the provision of juice, coffee, tea and store cupboard items. Heating was available as was plenty of hot water, and the beds were comfortable. Wi-fi was mostly good. We would stay again. Thank you Claudie."

"I'm vacating my apartment in mons so have been staying at a number of local hotels. Stayed in room 113 for a week. My only negative is no aircon which would be a nightmare in the summer, they do supply a big noisy fan. Perhaps B&B who are new owners will install aircon? Other than that it was an excellent stay, free coffee downstairs 24/7 and a room with a bath. We didn't bother with breakfast as plenty of shops/cafes in Mons. Very comfortable bed, i slept very well. Would recommend the B&B...

"Très bon séjour au 1 ère classe de Feignies, tout le personnel est au top, souriant, accueillant, se mélange bien avec les clients. Juste un petit soucis que j'avais déjà signalé dans un commentaire précédent, la Direction devrait fournir dans chaque chambre une brosse pour les toilettes, il est très désagréable pour une technicienne de surface de trouver du caca dans la cuvette des toilettes et c'est pour nous aussi très désagrèable de rendre des toilettes sales, donc pas le choix que de nettoyer la cuvette avec les mains mais ce n'est pas normal non plus d'en arriver là ! Alors la Direction vous n'avez pas de brosses chez vous pour vos toilettes personnelles ?? Un effort s'il vous plaît!!"

They gave us only one pair of small.bottles shampoo, hairbody and lotion and nothing more, so for only one day. Next thing cloth for wiping the plates is only one, and there was not even a microfibre cloth to clean your table after eating. No cleaning products for the toilet, only dish soap. It's kind of frustrating for the price,they reply to my message that I can come down get a new towels for the plates.they should place it when we check in, n our room. there is a supermarket across the street to get what you need. There are always men smoking pots. It doesn't look nice and clean. Under the bed you will see spider's web and dust( alot of it) The bathroom smells like paint. Then some kind of spice that stinks big time from 10pm the bed is hard especially the sofa bed, you will feel the division. you can't double lock the door inside, I place something at the door, morning it was in the floor, like someone attempted to enter.My son get rashes after our stay. This is not a quality aparthotel far to compare in Germany . Hope they improve."
