"Lovely classic old French house, slightly out of town (very short drive, OK walk) with great pool, top quality table football, table tennis, nice furnishings. One bedroom off by the pool, for better or worse. Riberac is a quiet but nice town, and the house is near the river, across from a small village with a friendly cafe - closed for part of August. Very convenient to supermarket and petrol."

"The property was very well located, being close to the town of Chalais with a decent size Intermarche and Monday market. It was situated at the head of a farm track leading into fields of corn and sunflowers. The gite was spacious and clean and the bedrooms comfortable. It was good to have 2 bathrooms. We really enjoyed using the swimming pool and our youngest liked the swing in the tree! We had lots of BBQs. Only small niggle was that we were unable to find the toaster? Also not enough mugs,...

"The photos do not do this property justice. Its a lovely large secluded house in the middle of sunflower fields. The owners live next door and were on hand for anything we might need, but we didn't see or hear them unless we needed to. They were the perfect hosts. It was a great location for our extended family getaway. The pool was perfect and provided good shade for the children. "We stayed in pillac with 10 adults from 74 to 34, and 9 children aged between 2 and 18 and what a holiday we had! The house is perfectly set up for family groups as each lot can take a "wing". A really well equipped kitchen enabled us to have wonderful meals at home... meat cooked by the boys and wonderful salads cooked by Barbara's friend. Barbara was super helpful and very easy to contact the whole time. The village was gorgeous but tiny..... about a 10 minute drive for any grocery shopping....

Fantastic place to stay

"The property was very well located, being close to the town of Chalais with a decent size Intermarche and Monday market. Peace and tranquility

"The photos do not do this property justice. Its a lovely large secluded house in the middle of sunflower fields.
