"We had a warm and friendly welcome, helped by our ability to speak French (Paul and Genevieve admit that they have very little English!). Be prepared with provisions and fuel when you arrive as the nearest shops are some distance away and likely to be closed at inconvenient times (for the English at least!). The only road into the village (3 houses!) is long and very narrow, testing the driver's manoeuvring skills in the unlikely event of on-coming traffic. We arrived at the start of Autumn with...

"Séjour très agréable, tranquille, avec tout le nécessaire. Pas de commerçants à proximité, mais c'était stipulé dans l'annonce. Nous avons pu vivre dehors les 2 semaines sur cette terrasse très agréable. L'hôte est très accueillante, donne toutes les explications nécessaires. Les 2 petites chambres sont très jolies. Bref, nous ne pouvons que conseiller ce gite et nous reviendrions nous-même avec grand plaisir."

"Idéalement située dans la région, la maison était propre et fonctionnelle. Nous y avons passé un séjour très agréable, qui nous a permis de visiter les villes environnantes et de faire de belles randonnées dans des paysages superbes. "

"Vacances au calme dans au centre d'un petit village typique de la Haute Loire, proche des sentiers de randonnée et des spots de baignade. De nombreuses visites de villes et villages dans les environs. Maison bien adaptée à notre famille avec grands enfants et neveux, moins bien adaptée à notre chien qui aurait nécessité un grand jardin clôturé. Merci à notre hôte pour sa gentillesse et pour les œufs de la ferme. ."

"Appartement au 2eme etage. l'Interieur de l'appartement ne semblait pas encore complète mais la cuisine était bien équipée. Grace à Brigitte, la co-hôte, notre séjour était très agréable. "The hamlet of Le Mirial was delightful, a truly peaceful away from it all. Madame Albaret, who looks after the keys, was most welcoming and helpful. In fact everyone in the hamlet was friendly. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, with miles of quiet walks. You could not ask for a lovelier Auvergne holiday retreat. Unfortunately the gite itself was a great disappointment. It seems that the owner is still in the process of renovating it and when he has finished it will probably be...
