"Definitely more geared to families with younger kids. Restricted opening hours for some parts of hotel facilities like the American diner. Never seen the area with climbing wall etc open at all. This was our 3rd visit there over the last 2 years and the food on offer for the evening meal was definitely not as good as it’s been in the past. Also noticed that the dirty plate in microwave used to hear baby food was never cleaned over the duration of our stay"

"We loved our stay here. The location was convenient; the room was clean and comfortable; breakfast was tasty; and most of all, the hosts were amazingly hospitable. Due to our original flight being canceled, we checked in later in the day than we anticipated, and the host was gracious and understanding. We also forgot to bring a power converter (we traveled from the U.S.), and the hosts let us borrow theirs until we were able to buy one locally. We would definitely recommend staying here."

"Overall a very comfortable experience. This is the second time we stayed in Macdonald's hotel, opted for half board and loved our meals everynight. Breakfast was great, would be nice to have meatfree options for vegetarians, even if not in buffet but can offer to prepare it if requested, still loved scones and beans and pancakes, kind and caring staff."

"Ken and Gill are the perfect hosts! Cook to order breakfast, amazing coffee, and pastries. We were heading to Skye after our stay and Ken gave us a route that we thoroughly enjoyed! Coos on the side of the road, waterfall hikes, and a trip around Loch Ness were included in his advice. Do not hesitate to stay at this amazing property. "

"I cannot praise the property, owners and location enough. From start to finish this was an effortless customer experience. We were advised that we could check in early as there was no one staying at the proper in the days before our stay. Upon arrival we were taken aback by the location, size and cleanliness of the property. It has absolutely everything that we needed keeping in mind we had 2 children under 7 months old.
