The staff cannot speak basic English and they were not even trying to use any translator device to communicate with foreign guests. "If you want to take a step off the beaten track in Japan this is a very good option. The hotel is situated in a very good place to explore the Kyoto on Sea area (this is not Kyoto city). The Hotel will send a minibus at certain times of day to pick new visitors up from the railway station.
