"I imagine its just the age of the hotel showing and not so much the upkeep. We reserved this after showing up to 5 Themes and it being a room in the owners house. We weren’t comfortable staying there so we stayed here. It was the right decision. Definitely not a bad place and I won’t talk bad about it but I do think they could change a few things. That is all"

"Clean large room with terrace overlooking the lake Room had a bath with a hand held shower but no curtain. A shower would have been preferable "

"A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."

"The hotel I would describe as average. A little outdated and the hallway was decorated in a really dark wallpaper which made it very dark and dismal.. The room was ok and the bed comfortable. The grouting in the bathroom was a bit black and mouldy. The lighting in the room needs to be improved as it was also very dark. The receptionist explained everything and we didn't have any problems."

"On entering our room, one of the curtains was hanging off the runner. We booked a family room with a queen bed to sleep 4.When I made the reservation I made it quite clear it was for 3 adults and the booking was accepted. However, they brought in a cot (fold up bed) being the third bed which when my son sat on, collapsed. There were slats missing. When reported to reception was told it was for a child. "Amazing comfortable bed with firm but supportive mattress! Super quiet neighbourhood. Right by the Arboretum gardens of the Château. 5 minute walk to Tesse boulangerie. Bagnoles lac and restaurants 20 mins walk away. New Voie verte now connects with La Ferté-Macé giving nearly level route there....roughly 30-40 mins cycle depends how fast you go. And you could easily cycle onto Briouze and catch a train to Paris! Apartment is well equipped with good kitchen if you want to self cater. Nice little...
