We got you covered for rain or shine with inside/outside games, books for every age, coloring books and color pencils, stargazer telescope, books about star watching, bird watching, local activities, flower press to create memories of the local fauna and lots of toys for every age.
After spending time at the water, you may want to relax on the large screened porch or in the screened gazebo, or spend quiet time in prayerful meditation in the boulder garden.

But being at the CreekHouse is more about being outside and connecting with nature. You might start your day with coffee on the screen porch or you might want to cook breakfast out on the grill that is located on the multi level deck. You may then wish to take your breakfast platter to the screened gazebo down by the water and enjoy listening to the sounds of nature while you enjoying your meal. Or you might want to walk around the pond to watch the dragonflies and frogs scattering around. In the evening, you can watch in delight as the lightening bugs put on a show that will take you back to your childhood memories of capturing them in a bottle.
Staying at the CreekHouse is certain to be a vacation you will always remember.

Absolute Paradise
We were so happy to have chosen the Creek House! It was absolute Paradise. Peaceful and relaxing with all the comforts of home...and a lot of extras. Everything that could possibly have been needed was provided by the owners. We literally didnt have to bring a thing except some groceries. All cleaning supplies, linens, towels, spices, cooking equipment (pots, pans, baking dishes/pans, instapot, air fryer, multiple types of coffee machines just to name a few). There were tons of things to do such as board games, puzzles, books, videos, etc. Comfy furniture. Large screen tvs in living and bedrooms. The screened in 20x20 deck was our favorite! So relaxing to be able to hear the bull frogs, peep frogs, crickets, and especially the BROOK! My husband enjoyed a few days of fishing and brought back some nice sized fish from the back yard. The landscaping was beautiful with many flowers and shrubs in bloom. The location to the Blue Ridge Parkway and major mountains in the area was perfect. And, there were little shops, orchards, and several gemstone mines in nearby towns. Such a special place. We CANNOT wait to return!!!

Magical place for the whole family!
We decided to head up to the mountains for the 4th. of July holiday for some cooler climate and found this amazing place. The Creek House was everything it promised and more! We fell in love with this beautiful property and its surroundings. Yindra and John definitely deliver on their “super host” status, from the booking and through our stay the communication and helpful information was excellent. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming and charming personal touches like the beautiful background music, fresh cut flowers, welcome sign with our names including our fur baby, and homemade cookies!! The house and the grounds are picturesque, very homely feeling, beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean with all the necessary amenities. The grounds and the creek are amazing, the fireflies at night time are mesmerizing. There are a lot of great attractions within a 30-40 min. drive. We’ll definitely rebook this property next year.

You gotta love CreekHouse!
The house/property is great, the weather not so much. Rained the whole time we were there but that didn’t stop us from having a relaxing and stress free stay. The house was clean as a pin and had every amenity needed. The custom fire pit and “beach house” outdoor room were very nice touches.

Everything was perfect
We were looking for a good place to go with our two dogs where they could run and play off-leash. This property was absolutely perfect for them. They had a ball. But we did too. There were so many special things about this cabin. Kitchen literally had everything - including some beautiful pottery pieces. Many things to keep us occupied if we had to stay in (CDs, DVDs, books, games, musical instruments), but fortunately our weather was perfect. Everything was so comfortable. In the bedroom, there was an electric blanket and a fan - so you could never be too hot or too cold! Great decorations and paraphernalia all around the house. Owners put so much thought into everything. You definitely feel like you are a guest and not a renter. It really doesn't get better than this!

Perfect in every way!
We loved our stay at your home. Just some of our favorites include: huge enclosed deck with plenty of comfortable seating, chipmunks playing in the boulder garden by the deck, quaint screened gazebo above the creek, beautiful mountain trout steam with mini rapids, well stocked kitchen with everything you'd need for a casual or classy meal, exceptionally comfortable king bed, plenty of hot water and plush towels in both bathrooms, comfy living room furniture, lots of music and DVDs, easy access to hiking trails. We hope to return for a longer stay.

Great place to stay
The property is beautiful. Loved the yard with the stream below. The house was perfect for two couples and was equipped with all one could require. The screened porch would be the perfect place to sit out in slightly warmer weather. Hosts went to a lot of effort, even providing delicious cookies! Would happily visit again.

Beautiful
This was our second stay at this beautiful home. While some of the things we hoped to do during our time here in November didn't work out due to Mother Nature, we had a wonderful escape from the city. The sound of the creek is always peaceful no matter the season, and for me the proximity to Carver's Gap at Roan Mountain is a huge perk. We were also able to visit the Arthur Planetarium at Bare Dark Sky to see the James Webb Telescope show, which I highly recommend to anyone with an interest in astronomy. The cloud cover was too thick most nights this time around for us to do any stargazing, but we did catch a break for a couple of hours one night. My son's astonishment as he stared at Capella sparkling through my astronomy binoculars was a definitely highlight of our trip, as was his exclamation of "Woah! That is so cool!" at the planetarium show. The house is clean, the beds are comfy, and the special care taken by hosts Yindra and John is obvious at every turn. We will be back.

Cozy property with great hosts. Spent most of our time, enjoying the spacious screened in porch and the view of the mountains and creek. Comfortable beds and the house is thoughtfully stocked above and beyond your normal rental. Roan Mountain and Linville Caverns Falls were great places to hike and visit within a 30 minute drive!

Fall weekend away
My husband and our pups loved the Creekside Cottage! When we arrived, it was so nice to walk into the cozy house with music playing and cookies in the fridge for us. A note on the table with our names welcoming us, such thoughtful hosts! By far the most welcoming rental we have ever stayed at, and we have stayed at least over 2 dozen. The stream was fun to fish, my husband bought bait at the quickmart in town which was convenient. We had Hunt Brothers Pizza (host recommended) as was nice to not have to worry about meals. 15 mins from Carver's Gap at Roan Mountain, we hiked the Balds, our favorite hike. We drove to Linville and the BRP to see the leaves, definitely worth hiking to the waterfalls. This house is in a great location, the bed and bedding was so lovely and comfortable. We appreciated the DVD's which we cozied up and watched with the electric fireplace. I especially loved the decorating of the house. I love tiffany lamps and all the finishings down to the eclectic light switches. The stream is so relaxing to sit next to and fish. You do here dogs barking in the distance, but we are used to that as we have stayed at very high up rentals in the mountains many places and sound echoes, so it didn't bother us that much. The speaker system outside on the porch is great to play some soft jazz and eat dinner. I could go on and on. Just what we needed to unwind but also be close to hiking options. Thanks again Jindra and John. We hope to come back with our son!

Outstanding Mountain Property
I have rented over 30 times through VRBO, and this is the nicest property we have stayed in. Host was superb; very easy to communicate with. Cleanliness was immaculate and every amenity provided that you could think of. This is a very highly rated property for a reason. We enjoyed the home, sitting by the stream, the firepit and the screened in gazebo. Loved the large, screened in porch attached to the home and the deck with a grill. The secret garden is charming! Easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Several cute towns within 30-40 minutes. The photos and description are completely accurate. Don't hesitate to book this one!
