"The Red Lion is ideally situated in Bakewell,although there is no parking at the accommodation,there is plenty nearby. The only negative comment id make about the accommodation is the double bed is very small,other than that the rooms are very clean etc The town is very quiet,and there's not a lot happening on an evening "

"Lovely stay. The staff was great! Everyone went out of their way to be kind and helpful, even helping when our plans to tour local sites got messed up by a very heavy winter storm that caused power outages. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a bit pricey, but excellent quality and our servers could not have been better. Breakfast every morning was delicious and, again, our server was lovely. Would recommend this hotel if touring Derbyshire area. "

"We loved the hotel as it was in a remote area, away from the hussle and bustle of city life- it was like stepping back in time. The views from the hotel are amazing Hotel was clean, the staff were welcoming and very accomadatinhg, and went out their way to help you. We will definateky be back, hopefully in the summer to explore more. The only downside, the sat nav didnt pick uo the property and took us on a scenic detour, which is ok but not when its pitch black in December. What shoukd have...

"The staff were super friendly & the food excellent. They have just started serving breakfast which served in a lovely refurbished room. The pub had a great ambiance with a lot of locals calling in for a drink. Our room was warm, a good size & pleasantly furnished. We will definitely stay there again. "

"Freshly updated boutique hotel, a great place to relax. Quiet & great size room and bathroom, with comfortable king size bed. Good location in the small town of Bakewell. Parking was across the street, and reception organised a parking pass at a discounted rate when we checked in. Shops, pubs and restaurants all walking distance. Enjoyed our 2 night stay and would stay again."
