Despite its ugly appearance, it's a nice hotel, great views, good breakfast, easy access to private 'beach'. Downsides: poor room cleaning, very slow and unhelpful checkout

The property and all the facilities were good but most of the reception staff were really rude to the point I had to ask if I had done anything wrong to one of the guys as he was speaking to me so badly. It nearly ruined the whole experience of the hotel as I was there to have a calm relaxing time and didn't feel comfortable in the hotel everytime I saw some of the staff. The woman at the cafe/bar was very nice though

The elevators are horrible. You have to wait almost 10 minutes for an elevator in the morning. It was clean but for the star rating of the hotel I expected a lot better.

Stuff is very friendly. Rooms are nice and spacious with lovely views, but very small lifts and you need to wait sometimes even 10-15 minutes to get up and down...with suitcases in busy morning time impossible. Also, not enough stuff at the dinner to serve drinks fast and replenish food....food run out quickly and waiting time was long....the worst was sadly the housekeeping team - woke up us first morning while children were sleeping and refused to leave and then just passed me the bin bag to clean the bin ourselves....after complaining at the reception that stopped but never got our room cleaned during our 4 nights stay which was a shame as it did put the whole experience down....

Dass das Hotel einen eigenen Strandabschnitt hat ist großartig und eine Strandbar sodass man sich den ganzen Tag am Strand aufhalten kann fanden wir super. Einen Punkt muss ich leider abziehen weil während unseres Aufenthaltes von 5TAGEN wurde unser Zimmer kein einziges Mal geputzt. Auf unserer Etage vor den Aufzügen war am ersten Tag eine Schleifspur von verschütteter Flüssigkeit und am letzten Tag war sie immer noch da. Das sollte in einem vier Sterne Hotel nicht vorkommen. Wenn man darüber hinwegsieht, war es ein schöner Urlaub.

Pozitív: Hatalmas szaunavilág, kedves kiszolgáló személyzet az étteremben és bárokban, fantasztikus ételválaszték és ízek, skybar. Negatív: Érkezéskor komor és szűkszavú recepciós hölgy fogadott kevés tájokoztatással, hideg vízű wellness medencék + a tömeg miatt nem is fértünk el benne kényelmesen, penészes zuhanyzó a fürdőszobában.

Gyönyörű, tágas hotel. A személyzet nagyon kedves. Az ételek finomak, van miből választani bőven. A szoba is gyönyörű. Egyedül a fürdőszobán látszott, hogy felületes takarítás történt, amellett, hogy már igazából jó alapos zuhanytakarítás is ráfért volna (kis penész, barna trutyi a zuhanyajtó szilikon alján pl.). Összességében nagyon ajánlom, visszamennék a gyerekeimmel is. 5*

Overall enjoyable.
The discussion of whether Ramada deserves 4 stars shall be viewed in the relativity theory framework. Under the standards of, say Vienna, it is hardly a 4* hotel. However, since Balatonalmadi is neither a capital, nor a posh resort, 4 stars, given the available alternatives, may well be justified. Pluses: + Location - few minutes walk from the beach + private beach, although can be accesses by anyone for ca. 1.5EUR, is still much less crowded than the public one nearby Minuses: - only rare receptionist can communicate in English, and even ten very basic one. We (family with 2 kids) tried to get the connected rooms instead of initially givven (one on the 1st and one on the 10th floor), but after some time, efforts and gesticulation managed only to get both rooms on the same floor. Happily, it was the most complicated subject we had to discuss. - overpriced breakfast ! For a fraction of its cost you can get really lovely filled pancakes, buns (or burger if you wish), coffee or hot chocolate on the hotel beach, enjoying the lake view - probably the smallest lifts in the World hospitality industry. Luckily, we weren't in a hurry on our check-out day, so we could afford just to laugh this over. Otherwise, spending tens of minutes in the lift hall, watching crammed lifts stop and go may get you the nervous breakdown. Stairs are not much of an option even you have no bags - they are rather filthy and spooky.
