Balatonboglar Holidays

The hostel is nice, clean for the most part. It's located in a good area near a tram line that takes you to the parliament building and Vörösmarty tér. It's also within a 10 min. walk from Kalvin tér metro station which is good for getting to Buda and other parts of Pest, including the two massive stations Nyugati and Keleti. It is also near to Nagycsarnok at Fövam tér. The hostel bed was clean but the walls and exterior were a bit dirty. The linen and towels were cleaned daily. The bathrooms were clean, and the other guests of the hostel seemed to try to keep it clean. I wish there was more space to brush your teeth and dry your hair. There are lockers in the rooms, which can be opened with the hotel keycard they give you. Very handy and pretty good security. There's 2 separate communal entrances to get to your room, so that is a plus in terms of security. If you like staying in hostels, I'm sure this will meet your standards. If you like staying in hotels, I'd say to give this one a go since it's not as rough or rowdy as others. Surrounding area seems safe, very WW2-esque if you ask me. There's an money exchange at Kalvin tér. There is a SPAR about 3 mins from the hostel.

Very welcoming staff, rooms immaculate. Definitely would recommend.

Housekeeping was ok, can be superb if more attention to cleanness would be kept

Great hotel with lovely staff and wonderful views of the river Danube & Parliament building. Only issue with our room was it was too hot & we couldn’t turn off the heating. Had to sleep with the doors open. We did report to reception on our first day but it wasn’t resolved. Otherwise a lovely stay with great views of all attractions.
