Keeping in mind this is a hostel, not a B&B, this property is well maintained and well managed. Located near Braemar and all the area has to offer outdoor enthusiasts, the hostel offers a quiet and clean stay with use of the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and warm. Would recommend and would stay again.

Great stay, quiet time of year but the hostel was very comfortable, clean, friendly, and relaxed. I had a private double room which was perfect for travelling with a pet. Kitchen access was really handy as Braemar and the surrounding area doesn't have much in the way of options for eating during the week in the off season.

Beautiful countryside.

Peaceful location, attracts cyclists and hillwalkers. Kitchen excellent size, cleanliness and facilities for cooking , very good to excellent. Dining area and lounge very neat tidy and accessible. Beware of door slammers staying, in this quiet location

The Braemar Youth hostel might be the most charming and lovely hostel I’ve stayed at. The location is peaceful and the facility itself is comfortable and cozy. This hostel has a great lounge, large kitchen with all the essential utensils, and the staff are so accommodating and pleasant.

Cela aurait pu être bien

Cet endroit a tout pour être bien. Il y a une cuisine gigantesque et bien équipée, le cadre est enchanteur, le lit était confortable, l'accueil sympathique. Le gros hic, c'est que même en faisait attention (ce qui n'est pas le cas de tout le monde), toutes les portes claquent de manière extrêmement bruyantes, ce qui est extrêmement désagréable avec les vas et viens des gens dans la salle commune, dans les toilettes et dans les salles de bains. C'est dommage car encore une fois tout le reste est superbe.
