"We were returning to the Heritage after getting engaged here 4 years ago. They upgraded us to a suite which was a lovely surprise and the room was fantastic. Our only issue we discovered with the hotel was the lobby and adjoining areas, including where we had afternoon tea and dinner were all a bit cold. "Parking at the multistory parking next door was 22€/day. Hotel is beautiful upon entering. Restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The allergens were not correct on the menu though so ask before ordering if you have allergies. Room was spacious and beds were good. Corridors really dark. Breakfast very average but staff were nice."

"Overall the hotel was good, the only points I would raise are with the room. A big room was allocated with a Queen size double and two singles, presumably a family room. It was at the top of a steep stair, not good for children. The smart TV was so smart it gave you the program it wanted no matter what you selected. The bathroom was fine except for only one hook to hang towels on and the small radiator not fixed to the wall. I would use the hotel again but not in rooms 15 and 16"

"The hotel was very warm throughout it was hard to sleep. The bed was done and the mattress leaned to one side. The food was really bad, we had to send it back. Ordered veg curry and they brought chicken, they changed it and all I got was a watery curry sauce full of onions and the rice was clumped together. "Lovely place to stay, the lodges are separate to the castle. Short walk to the main castle And beside the restaurants. Room was spacious and the bed was big. The TV system /channels and remote not very good though. We did the small spa, which was lovely. 25 per person for an hour. Breakfast was in the castle for us as we stayed in Feb, otherwise I think the lodges are in hermiones restaurant. The breakfast was lovely. "
