Perfect stay by the bay
We had 4 fantastic nights at this cottage. Every morning we watched a group of seals playing in the water and sunning on the rocks. We enjoyed the location, short drive to Clifden for great food, we took advantage of the spa at the hotel down the road on a rainy day, and toured the park, beaches, Kylemore Abbey, the bog, etc. Everyone commented that the seals and peaceful location was the best part of our trip. House had everything you needed too.

A dream!
This house was absolutely lovely! It was clean, had comfortable beds, adequate space for my family of 5, and had a full kitchen and laundry. The view was spectacular and the house was remote enough to have space to enjoy the scenery, but still close enough to Clifden to have access to a busier scene. Seal watching in the mornings was a favorite activity. I would definitely rent this home again!

Great views and ambiance
Everything was perfect for us to enjoy the area and drive into clifden for restaurants and pubs for traditional Irish music. The road is a bit narrow towards the house the last bit but we did it slowly. We also enjoyed great meals at the nearby Connemara sands hotel just near the house.

Unbeatable views
This cottage is in a spectacular position looking out over the salt lough in Mannin Bay. We loved watching the seals, hares and all manner of birdlife from the picture window. A host of Caribbean-style beaches all around. The cottage is very stylish, well-equipped and comfortable. (Better pillows and sofa and a microwave would make it perfect!) Mélanie was charming and very helpful. We'll definitely be back.

Mannin Bay Cottage Ocean Front
In a beautiful location, modern cottage, fantastic views from large lounge window over the bay and seals basking on the rocks. However disappointed no direct access to the sea for my kayak. I like to dry washing outdoors, although tumble dryer provided cottage could benefit from outside drying facilities. Also didnt like the fact that both bathrooms had clear glass in the windows and no blinds. Also overall cleanliness was fine except for cob webs hanging and spider nests on the ceilings, dead blue bottles, flies and moths on window sills, top of tumble dryer thick layer dust and french doors covered in grubby hand marks. All not what I expect for the prices charged.

Perfect (once you've found it in the night)
It's the third house on the left, not the second! Directions were faulty, but the house itself was perfect: beautiful view of the bay, very tranquil, spacious, very well equipped, easily heatable and, to top it all, very tastefully furnished. We loved it!

Home away from home in Mannin Cottage in picturesque Ballyconneely
Our family just got back from our 4 night stay in this beautiful home on Mannin Rd in Ballyconneely. We saw seals, dolphins, donkeys, birds, beautiful beaches, amazing wild flowers and lots of fabulous scenery. We got to rest, and remove ourselves from the noise and distraction of the city and immersed into a place of relaxation which was so refreshing and renewing. It is a beautiful home away from home and all you need is right on your door step. We will definitely be back to stay!! Keoghs pub/restaurant is a lovely spot for a bite to eat and a few drinks with wonderful staff and is a short drive away. Clifden has amazing restaurants too, but this rental home allows you to eat in and cook something on the bbq if you wish. We all miss the view from that amazing window in the living room each morning! The best property my family has stayed at by far in Ireland x ☀️👌🥰 Thank you Catherine and Melanie 🌼

A Magic window
From the minute you walk into the house the window looking out over the bay has a Wow factor, I looked forward to getting up and opening the curtains in the morning to watch the seals swim across the bay, I found myself just drifting watching the colours change as the weather changed. Overall house has a lovely feel, great wildlife around with hares, donkeys, sheep, cows and of course ponies with the added surprise of a family of seals sunbathing as u look out the window. I don’t know what else to say. A long drive from us travelling from the Wicklow mountains to the 12 bens but worth it. Everything was in a short drive If there was not still some restrictions in place would of made life earlier but I can’t take away from the house for this reason. Would love to go back.

Wonderful stay at beautiful location
The views from inside are just gorgeous peaceful and nice open floor plan. Everything you need in kitchen. Quiet street but still close to Clifden or nice pub at Keoughs and delicious food at Connemara Sands pub within walking distance...would have liked to stay longer. Very clean and welcoming!!

Brilliant, would recommend this stay to anyone and everyone.
If you want to see the real Ireland and enjoy rugged this is the place for you. Most delightful people, beaches and walks. Bit of a trek from Shannon airport but well worth it, don’t be put off. Cosy up after your exertions with the peat fire.

Magical
Mannin Bay Cottage is a magical, exceptional place--it has a view that changes moment-to-moment with the light and the weather, seals (or are they mermaids or descendants of the Conneely clan?) that wave good morning across the rocky shoreline, and a location near Clifden that offers a sense of seclusion but also connectedness. I only wish I'd had more time there to simply sit and be in the moment within its walls or wander the shores and hills the surround it.

Gorgeous views from the bright, cheery cottage out to the sea where the seals played all day
We're already planning our next trip to Connemara to stay at this beautiful cottage again - and this time we'll bring friends to fill the rooms. Two families of 4 would be very comfortable there. Everything about our stay in Mannin Bay Cottage was beyond expectation. The house was beautiful and equipped with everything we needed and then some, including a good pair of binoculars to watch the seals at play in the water outside the living room window. The beds were comfy and the rooms were all beautifully decorated. The light was gorgeous coming in through all the picture windows. We never drew a curtain - there was no one nearby to look in - so we woke each morning to our view of the sea. The Pub in Ballyconneely, Keoghs, was a quick drive and very nice. We didn't walk into town because the road is very narrow, and I was afraid we might not be seen around one of the bends. But the drive was always exciting, so we didn't mind. On Melanie's suggestion, we drove to the end of our road and walked down to the rocky and sandy beach one day. We also drove 15 minutes down the road to Roundstone twice - it's worth two visits for sure! We ate at a pub called O'Dowds that was just wonderful, serving all local food. We enjoyed a breathtakingly beautiful drive up to Killary to visit the sheep farm there and watch PJ putting Jessie through her paces with the black faced Connemara sheep. Very cool! After the demo, the kids had a chance to play with the four adorable pups on the farm. it was very hard not to take one home! My only regret about our stay at Mannin Bay Cottage was that it was too short. I can't wait to go back!

Beautiful Home Overlooking Mannin Bay
This beautiful home overlooking Mannin Bay was such a lovely surprise. The pictures do not fully show how wonderful this house is. It's bright, and spacious, with high ceilings and gorgeous views. There's a small private yard with a picnic area and garden. We are so incredibly happy that we chose this house for our stay in Ireland - it exceeded all our expectations.

A winning experience!
Four women friends who have been traveling together for one week each year celebrated our 30th anniversary of travel by returning to Ireland. Our house on Mannin Bay is definitely one of the best houses we've ever rented. Beautiful setting, house had everything we could want. Beds were very comfortable, great kitchen and lots of room to sit and read, talk or just watch the birds, seals, and weather change.

The house is beautifully furnished and at the same time wonderfully functional. A perfect place to stay for a week or a month or two. The view is indeed spectacular and the house couldn't be more comfortable. We loved our time here and are already thinking about coming back for an extended stay. Melanie was great in getting us oriented and Catherine was helpful and prompt and friendly in every way. Thanks, Tom

Splendid serenity
This lovely cottage on Mannin Bay in the Connemara region is exactly as depicted in the photos and description. The house is bright and cheerful with updated amenities. The large picture window in the main living area was our entertainment as we watched the seals and herons. Melanie made sure we knew how to use the fireplace which we did at night. She placed fresh flowers on the table to greet us and made sure we knew how to reach her during our stay. Melanie gave us suggestions for sightseeing including making sure we knew about a children's parade in nearby Clifden that weekend. It is a bit longer of a drive on narrow roads back to Galway City than we anticipated so we modified our plans to stay in the Connemara region. The cottage provided a quiet home base for our visit. The house is well equipped including a kitchen which met our needs completely. We didn't see that reflective safety vests were in the house as we had seen in other lodgings during our visit to the country. The roads are not well lit so be sure to bring your own gear if you plan to walk during the evening or early morning. Otherwise, we wanted for nothing and we would definitely recommend this wonderful house for anyone wanting a place to stay while visiting Connemara.

An excellent choice to book for at least a week!
In a rural setting with nature in full bloom at your doorstep this home is clean and modern. The decor has been tastefully created from designer publications and is appointed with culinary delight. We loved walking (2-3kms) to witness a variety of pasture grazers and the beautiful beaches along the coast. From Inishbofin to the Marconi signal station there are many ways to experience life and history among the people of Ireland.
