For ten nights we enjoyed cozy digs while being in very close proximity to the rest of the family. Although in need of a few repairs, the cottage suited us well, providing comfort and charm. There is off road parking and a fantastic view over the bay (subject to Irish weather). 3 pubs within 100m, 2 of which serve food and on the other side of the bay there is a fantastic beach. Roads in and out of the village are good, there is lots to do nearby and Cork is not far away and the Atlantic coast easily accessible beyond that. Only downside is...

"Spent a week in Oct here while some family members attende Ballymaloe cooking school. Great location with excellent water views. Property manger was very quick to answer questions. We did have to extend our stay as there is no check ins on Sunday. That was an unexpected cost. "

"There is not much going on in Fermoy, but it is possible to drive to some major attractions such as the national park if you don’t mind a bit of a drive. The house is very tastefully decorated and well equipped, but it is very small and the beds are listed as queens. If you are coming from America, please note this means full. Not a lot of room for suitcases, but the listing clearly stated how small it was. Overall acute little place, but not really in a destination spot."

"This place and the surrounding area are amazing in my opinion. I learned the hard way, but you deff need a car in this area. The towns all around are cute and have a nice old school charm. And Lismore castle and gardens are amazing. Just wish the lord and lady would allow tours of the castle."

"I loved being on the water, with easy parking underneath the hotel. The breakfast was amazing and worth the extra money. We stayed during off season, but I loved opening our window to smell the sea air. I also lo ed the close proximity to the Cobh Heritage Centre and the Titanic Museum. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. "

Lovely stay

"We had our daughters christening here and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. Tara from reception was so kind and friendly, my 3 year old loved her, she kept wanting to back to the reception. The rooms were clean and spacious, there was an issue with the shower—it wasn’t providing hot water at the time of the stay. However, this problem was outweighed by our positive experience with the staff, who were so kind and welcoming. Overall experience was good because of the staff's friendliness"
