Welcome to our cabin at Maggie's Farm, nearby to the Asheville airport and all that Western North Carolina and Asheville has to offer. The outside fire pit is a great place to do star gazing. We are pet friendly and allow for two dogs with a pet fee. You may also want to look at our 3 bedroom 2 bath sleeps 6, listing #4968034. Our little town is called Brevard, it is the county seat and a very quaint college town with sidewalk cafes, restaurants, breweries, art and music with lot of outdoor activities on the rivers and mountain trails. We are close to all of the Western North Carolina attractions, The Biltmore, Sliding Rock, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Breweries, Maggie Valley, Cherokee Casino, Hendersonville, Waynesville, mountain hiking and biking, canoe, tubing, zip lining trout fishing and more. It's a place you will want to return over and over again. We have a stocked pond with Rainbow trout, Channel catfish, & Bream along with a trout stream with natural brown trout. You can completely relax and rejuvenate here. The cabin is very very clean, immaculate, fresh and updated. It has a large fully equipped eat in kitchen, both bedrooms have quality, comfortable queen sized beds with memory foam for a restful nights sleep. The back covered deck is a great place to hang out, relax, read a book, or try your fishing skills for native brown trout. The huge patio overlooks crystal clear Tucker Creek, (10 feet wide and 1-4 feet deep) and features a gas BBQ grill, with patio table & chairs. Tucker Creek is a cold water creek that is full of quartz crystal rocks. The cabin borders thousands of acres of the PISGAH NATIONAL FOREST with Trailheads and Forestry roads all around. The wildlife abounds. You may see turkey, deer, bear, Canadian geese, ducks, blue heron, Bald Eagles and more.
Maggie's Farm is also a beautiful spot for an elopement wedding by the creek.
On Maggie's Farm we have a large variety of fruit trees including Apple, Pear, and Peach. We also grow blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, walnut, asparagus, potatoes and many other vegetables and herbs. Across the street from Maggie's is a beautiful field of cows with the mountains as a background.
There are many beautiful nearby waterfalls. Maggie's is Located in Balsam Grove, Transylvania County, which is also known as the 'LAND OF WATERFALLS.' There are over 250 waterfalls to enjoy HIKING, BIKING, photographing, and picnicking. Maggie's is at an elevation of 3000 feet and only 10 miles to the scenic BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY, a beautiful drive to take to the Biltmore, enjoy lunch or dinner at the Pisgah Inn with amazing views, or Cherokee where Harrah's casino is located. Parkway Road (Hwy 215) is likened to the tail of the dragon for mountain bikers and motorcyclists. Go FLY Fishing or tubing on nearby Davidson or French Broad Rivers. There are 3 lakes nearby for swimming, fishing, kayaking, Wolf Lake Tanasee Creek Lake, and Bear Lake. Maggie's is an easy drive with all good paved roads, I-95 to I-26 out of Asheville and you're almost there. Let the calming sound of the creek put you to sleep at night. Beautiful mountain views all around. The Pisgah Astronomical Research Center (PARI), is just a few minutes by car, it was a NASA Tracking Station and now is a Research Center where you can visit and view the sky through their huge telescopes.

This is our second time staying at the property and just like the first time it was great. Post Hurricane Helene the place is up and running and back to normal. The accommodations and the host are amazing. Quick response, friendly, and very helpful… we will stay again.

A little slice of paradise
This cabin is just a few miles from our house and was rented for family members as we did not have enough room at our home. We all ended up spending some time there relaxing or fishing with grandkids. House was cozy and clean, Mountain View’s were great, Host Mark made sure everyone had what was needed.

Wonderful time
We had a wonderful time at Mark and Jacqueline’s cabin. They were so helpful and kind. The cabin was perfect for a laid back, relaxing week. It was well stocked with essentials and a great location with stream, trout pond, and other fun things that entertained our 3 year old son. It was also close to Brevard and the Pisgah National Forest so it gave us plenty of opportunity to go out and explore. We would definitely stay there again!

What a great place! We stayed a week, there was sun there was rain, and even ice on the grass! Loved feeding the fish! Pisgah National forest has lots of things to do. Waterfalls, hiking, scenic views, and having a comfortable warm place to return to was fabulous. Mark and Jacquie were wonderful hosts! We plan on returning!

We stayed a week and absolutely loved our stay. If you’re looking for serenity and beauty that surrounds you like a hug, you’ll want to stay at Maggie’s. We’ll be back with and without family since you can’t absorb all all there is in just 1 visit. Strongly suggest grabbing breakfast items and any grocery type before you get to the cabin(s). You’ll be happy you did because you just want to stay on the farm.

Beautiful location and lovely hosts
We stayed at Maggie’s Farm this August and I can’t say enough good things about the location and the hosts! Desperately needed a peaceful and restful getaway after the loss of my Mom. The accommodations were excellent, cozy and inviting. Everything you could possibly need was provided by the hosts. We brought our mini Pomeranian with us and she loves the creek. The vegetable and flower gardens were beautiful and we enjoyed fishing and and the local waterfalls. Jacquie and Mark incredibly warm and kind and really made our visit even more special. They made us feel welcome and are truly the heart of this amazing place. We will definitely be back and hope to bring our kids in the future.

Just what our family needed!
The hosts were absolutely amazing. The cabin was very comfortable. Maggie's Farm is such a serene property. The creek was soothing and cool. We enjoyed wading in it. One morning my husband and I were having our coffee on the porch and a fawn was wading in the creek. We saw a number of deer during our stay. Jacquie and Mark warmly welcomed us throughout our stay. They gave us flowers from their garden upon our arrival. Jacquie invited me into their home to see her jewelry collection and I bought a few pieces. Our 10 year old grandson had an over the top experience fishing in the pond. He caught 4 trout and one was quite sizeable-a lifelong memory for our family. My husband and son grilled the trout for our evening meal. One night we had a fire and had smores under the stars with the gentle country sounds. Mark gave us vegetables from his garden as a going away gift. We had such a grand family time of connection and renewal. We are grateful for our experience at Maggie's Farm!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Maggie’s Farm! Mark and Jacquie are a joy and we loved our daily chats with Mark about his garden and the surrounding areas. Our boys loved playing in the creek and fishing .. we brought no toys with us and the boys were very much entertained by nature , we even built a fairy garden by the creek . The kitchen was well equipped with everything need. We’ve already started planning our trip back for next summer and have recommended Maggie’s Farm to family and friends . Thank you Mark and Jacquie!

Maggie's Farm is beautiful. Our cabin was cozy, clean and very well equipped. We had everything we needed. It had great TV and movie selections too! We enjoyed hiking to nearby waterfalls and the scenic views to and from the cabin. It was great meeting Jacquie and Mark and their playful dogs. Jacquie brought us homemade bread that was delicious! She also helped us get set up on the Wi-Fi calling and thoroughly explained how the Roku TV worked. We had a wonderful time!

Best cabin, best owners, best dogs!
The cabin location is why we booked. Close to our favorite hikes and a short drive to Brevard for food and essentials. The reason we will continue to book here is because Mark and Jacquie (and their trio of pups too!). They're the sweetest couple with lots of knowledge of the area. They truly make you feel right at home. It helps that the cabin was pristine too! Their property is beautiful, we spent hours outside with our dog exploring. You can truly see the hard work they've put into the property and we are so blessed that they are willing to share it with others. There's a reason they have so many great reviews and we will be absolutely back in the near future.

At the Waters Edge
Quiet peaceful setting on a working farm. Babbling brook at back porch is quite unique and relaxing and provides a nice backdrop for eating meals. Smaller mountains rise from this valley and BRP just up the road. The cabin is pretty minimalistic and a great place to rest between outings. Pack your food ahead of time like we did and you can skip the hustle and bustle of The World for a few days! Besides the BRP, 215 also provides views and a connection to Waynesville and the edge of the Smokies. Lots of Forest Roads to explore in the area too.
