"The hotel is quite a long distance from Bangkok, but for a couple of nights it is worth a visit (and the 2-3 hour drive across from Bangkok). The setting on the river is beautiful. "When we arrived they didn’t have our booking which was worrying but luckily they had a room for us. The room itself is incredibly basic and the bed is very hard. The communal area is quite nice overlooking the lake and there is tea and coffee available. Good location walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shops etc. The service wasn’t brilliant, the staff kept themselves to themselves and made you feel like you were in the way a little.
