I enjoyed this hotel, I chose it for its proximity to the train. The staff were super friendly and attentive. It rained a lot and my window leaked. The only issue was street noise, it could use multi-pane windows.
The hotel is 1-minute walk to the MRT station. The room was clean, quiet and easy to stay. All staff were kind and cheerful. I strongly recommend this hotel to everybody.
Great hotel in looks and quality but in an area where there isn’t much on your doorstep. Construction all around was noisy and made it difficult for pick ups.
The room was so beautiful, exactly as the pictures. Coming back each evening was my personal highlight of Bangkok! The shower was possibly the best one I have ever used. I’ll think about it forever. Thank you so much Lub D, can’t wait to come back.
Was a very nice spot, great for your buck, only downside was the power went out because they were doing construction, so we had a long day playing with elephants and mud and sweat, came back to no power, no AC, and had to walk up 6 floors lol. That was tiringgggggg. The staff was very very nice and the cleaners were cool too. No complaints other than the no power no ac, felt like I was dying and needed to shower but no water either when the power went out lol
The hotel itself has a nice and clean design with friendly staff and is located near several nice parts and attractions of Bangkok. However, our stay was slightly disappointing because of the fact that the rooms seemed to be having single glass windows. With the hotel being located at a busy street with 24/7 busy traffic it seemed as if we were sleeping with the windows open… The cleaning seemed rushed.
Well, nice comfort room. Excellent.
They do not provide toothpaste or paste. Need to purchase. They do not replenish any toilet consumables.
With the construction, noisy at times. As it is the main road, can hear the traffice even at mid night.
Could not find any English movie channels.
This hotel is brand new and opened on the 15th of Oct 2024. The service and staff were great and the room was clean, spacious and with a very big and comfortable bed. The local area is very quiet after dark, but it's a good location next to Sam Yot MRT station and about 5 minutes walk from the entrance to Yaowarat road (about 13 min walk from the more lively main part of Yaowarat/Chinatown). There's currently quite alot of construction work outside the hotel (as of 18th of Oct) but hopefully this will finish soon.
My spouse & I had a wonderful stay at the Lub D Chinatown. We were a little worried about booking last minute, but it turned out to be a great hotel. It’s a newly renovated, with modern amenities and decor. Our room (deluxe double) was very spacious. The staff were friendly and helped address any questions we had.
The location is hard to match: The Sam Yot MRT is across the street, making most of the city accessible by train. Yaowarat road/night market is a 10 minute walk. 2 different ferry terminals are 15-18 minute walks. The area felt safe to navigate at pretty much any hour.
The only downside is the MRT construction across the street. It can get kind of noisy during the day, but not at night. Construction will occasionally block the main road to the hotel for short periods of time. We had a few instances where we had to meet our grab drivers 2-3 minutes away; it was more of a pain for the drivers than it was for us.
Overall, we would stay here again. The price, room quality, staff friendliness, and location are the major selling points for us.
Very clean, spacious room, friendly staff, easy check in and out, air con was powerful. We stayed in the Sam Yot loft.
The location is fantastic - easy 15 mins walk to Yaowarat night market and 20 mins to view Wat Arun from the river bank. Lots of cute cafes and eateries available nearby too. Check out the little canal market just in front of the hotel if you're there on a Saturday night!
The hotel is newly refurbished and perhaps some details were missed such as poor location of power points (I was drying my hair while sitting on the floor). I'm a bit of a sensitive sleeper and had to cover the bright light from the aircon control panel. The traffic noise from tuk tuks revving unnecessarily kept me up on Saturday night but otherwise noise was okay from our room (didn't notice the construction noise). Cleaning could do with a little more attention.
Otherwise, had a more than satisfactorily stay at this hotel.
