"The pods themselves are great. Very spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Did encounter an issue with the heating upon arrival. POD was so hot inside the surfaces were too hot to touch. Never had this happen before. Calls to office and emergency line were not answered. Had to drive around looking for someone and a nice staff, Kirsten, at the event facility helped me. Finally had to disconnect heating completely from pod. Unfortunately had to stay in the pod all night with the doors...

"Good amenities - the wifi worked, the shower had good temperature & pressure, the beds were comfortable. The town is lovely - right out the back of the building, you can walk to Linlithgow Palace by taking the trail around the little lake. There are restaurants & cafes close by. "

"All of our guests for the Hen weekend made the weekend fun and the local cimmunity were really friendly. Unfortunately I had a few issues with the host, Chris. I had requested an early entry by 2 hours and in short was told yes for £50 payment as he had to arrange someone to be at the house. After a further 4 messages to Chris which were not answered I had to phone him and was reduced to tears by his hostility. He bumped up payment to £100 claiming I left it to last day to confirm this. "Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips."

"We loved Linlithgow and location of the flat. Finding the flat however, required running around that entire apartment complex area looking for the unit number. Parking was available luckily. The flat itself was comfortable to sleep. Bedrooms were nicely decorated. Kitchen amenities were adequate but I would encourage adding paper towelS Or adding more dish towels. At some point in the near future I would suggest replacing stair and hallway carpeting. It is beyond well used. Just a suggestion...

What's not to love?

"My partner and I needed a place to stay on our way up north, and since he grew up near the Hydro, we decided to give it a go. What a good shout! From DoubleTree's classic, warm cookies to the spaciousness of the room, we felt at home and comfortable. The Hydro also oozes Victorian charm and boasts stunning views of the surrounding area. What's not to love? It's actually a shame we didn't stay longer. We're keen to return, especially to try The Kailyard by Nick Nairn. My only issue is that the room door allowed a lot of noise through which was a slight disturbance."
