Beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa with private heated pool and spectacular panoramic views towards the foothills of the Pyrenees just a 10 minute walk from the charming seafront, beach and marina of Banyuls sur mer.
Take breakfast each morning on the lovely upstairs terrace and watch the sun set from your own heated private pool on the garden terrace.

The carefully thought out layout of the villa ensures that there are plenty of areas for guests to have their own space; this works really well when there are maybe two couples or a family made up of different age groups.

On the first floor is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom (bath, shower wc and double sink).
Bright and airy open plan living and dining area with doors to the terrace with a table to seat 8 and terrace furniture.

The ground floor shady terrace has a table to seat 8 and a plancha for cooking al fresco.
The heated pool is approx 6 metres X 3 metres, depth 1.6 metres throughout apart from the lounging ledge at the top end curve.
There is off road parking for two vehicles.

This detached villa is situated on a sunny hillside nestling in a vine covered valley where the mountains meet the sparkling Méditerranéen in the charming French town of Banyuls sur mer.
The garden is bordered on one side by an olive terrace and the local railway line running one way to the picturesque town of Collioure and in the other direction Port Bou and Spain.

A quiet road leads to the palm fringed promenade, picturesque marina and large safe family beach of Banyuls sur mer, which takes about 10-15 minutes strolling or 5 minutes in the car There are bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and plenty of shops for daily necessities and holiday shopping for souvenirs. The marble palazzo plays host to a variety of entertainment during the summer season with music of some sort most evenings.

Lovely stay at the villa in Banyuls Sur Mer
We had a lovely stay at the villa in Banyuls Sur Mer. Kevin and Jill were available to help provide us recommendations for the area and any unanswered questions we had. If we could make any recommendation for an even more pleasant stay, it would be to provide air conditioning throughout the villa (for the downstairs bedrooms in particular) and the upstairs living area. Otherwise, the swimming pool was a great hit for both families, and we thoroughly enjoyed cooling off in it.

Great Visit
We had a great stay in Banyuls. The house and pool were great— clean, well equipped, cozy. Pretty easy walk into to town and to the main beach, although we enjoyed those just north and south of town more (via car). Many thanks to Kevin and Jill for making things easy.

Lovely property in a quiet location. The kitchen was great for cooking and the laundry facilities also perfect for families. The living/kitchen area and master bedroom are on the first floor while the rest of the bedrooms and laundry area are on the ground floor. The pool and terrace were ideal for our family, space for all to unwind. Banyuls sur Mer is a quiet, authentic French town and was a good base for exploring the region. The property has quite a few steps down from the roadside/parking area to the front entrance. It is a 15 min walk from the main area of the town, uphill on the way back but that’s why you get lovely views. The train line next to the house does not impact at all and you are not overlooked by any other properties. The homeowners were very welcoming with a lovely note and bottle of wine for us on arrival and a useful folder of information about the house and area. They dealt with all queries promptly and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Relaxing stay with lovely views and well equipped property
We enjoyed our stay with some very comfortably designed living areas including the living room and pool area. Kevin the owner was great, helpful with recommendations and responded very quickly to any issues we had. It is a great base to explore the area and within easy walking distance of the beach and town, the air conditioning in the main bedroom was a godsend!

Fantastic villa, beautiful setting
Thank you Jill and Kevin for such a wonderful holiday. The villa is beautifully laid out, with all of the amenities you could need. There was plenty of space for inside and outside dining, and privacy from neighbours. The pool was glorious, and much-needed during the hot weather!! The welcome picnic was an added bonus, and went down very well on our first night! Banyuls-sur-mer itself is a lovely, lively town. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, and we were treated to live music in the square on a couple of nights! The locals are very friendly and happy to give recommendations for places to visit. An excellent holiday!! Thanks again.

A lovely holiday
How lucky we were to find this lovely villa, so cleverly designed and so thoughtfully equipped. We wanted for nothing as Kevin & Jill had thought of everything. The pool was warm and inviting, the kitchen was really well-equipped, beds were comfortable and all spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. We loved Banyuls - lots of excellent restaurants with friendly service and super fresh fish and we enjoyed walking down to the square each night - the only difficulty was deciding where to eat - or whether to stay in and enjoy the excellent facilities at the villa! Probably our best self-catering venue so far.

Fantastic villa for a family holiday
We've just returned from an excellent holiday at Banyuls-sur-mer. The villa itself was perfect, beautifully presented and had everything you would need for a self catering holiday. Kevin met us on arrival to show where everything was, they had even left a welcome pack including bread, cheese and wine which was a lovely touch! Our 4 year old son absolutely loved the heated pool and was in it every day. The villa is within about 15 minutes walk from the restaurants and shops at the marina. The town isn't overly touristy which was great and we found some excellent restaurants. We would definitely recommend a hire car to get around and visit all the local areas. The owners were also very helpful and quick at responding to messages. Thanks for a lovely holiday Kevin and Gill!

Amazing facilities and superb location
What a great house and superb facilities!the house is secluded and very privet but at the same time within walking distance to local restaurants, shops, wineyard and beach. It was very spacious for 6 adults plus 2 kids and facilities were more than we expected. Excellent furnished kitchen with all utensile than you can dream off (including coffee maker and even wide selections of spices) and great bathrooms and bedrooms. Swimming pool was very clean and warm and we thoroughly enjoyed a swim every day.we were welcomed with a selection of local wine and champagne and also a selection of pate, cheese and crisps which was really nice touch. We recommend a visit to a nearby winery (terres de templieres) and also a visit to a nearby Spanish town Roses (it is circa 1.5 hrs drive but the road is great with scenic views an the sandy beach is beautifull with excellent facilities. Prices there are also very reasonable) Overall the villa offers more than it says in the description and we would definitely stay here again.

Wir verbrachten einen wunderbaren Urlaub 14 Tage in dem Haus, zeitweise zu 7 Personen, davon ein 17 jähriger. Sehr gut aufgeteiltes Haus, alles funktionsfähig und sehr sauber-Die Gastgeber sind sehr angenehm, haben uns in einer eiligen Dokumentenangelegenheit wunderbar selbst am WE unterstützt. Der Pool ist eher klein, aber sehr angenehm und wurde regelmäßig unauffällig gereinigt. Wir können alles nur! weiterempfehlen. Danke für 14 wundervolle Tage.

TOUT SIMPLEMENT PARFAIT
L'annonce de la location est conforme à la réalité. Nous avons passé une superbe semaine avec nos deux enfants âgés de 14 ans et 13 ans. La piscine est chauffée et, est très appréciable en fin de journée après les visites de cette magnifique région. La maison est très bien conçue, spacieuse, et est très bien équipée. Il ne manque rien. Villa très propre. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants. Nous n'hésiterons pas à reprendre cette location lorsque nous souhaiterons revenir dans la région. Superbe villa !
La Villa est magnifique, superbement meublée et décorée, spacieuse et très propre. Il n'y manque absolument rien, elle est vraiment bien équipée. Les hôtes sont accueillants, avec plein de petites attentions qui font toute la différence. Nous avons adoré la petite carte postale nominative nous souhaitant la bienvenue et l'apéro offert ;) Les lits étaient faits (literie parfaite !), linge de toilette, de plage sans supplément. Idem pour le ménage de fin de séjour. La piscine est très agréable et les différents coins repas en extérieur également. Tout est parfaitement pensé pour de superbes vacances. Nous recommandons chaudement ! :)

Très bon séjour à Banyuls !
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de Jill et Kevin qui nous ont chaleureusement accueillis. Maison très bien équipée, avec du charme, au calme, avec une belle vue sur la montagne et une piscine rafraîchissante, on s’y est senti très bien dès notre arrivée. A 15 min à pied du front de mer, parfait pour aller déjeuner en bord de mer sans prendre la voiture.

Absolutely amazing house and vacation
We were a family with 3 children and 4 adults and stayed at the house in May. Very nice and super clean house. It is equipped with everything you need and we did not miss anything. Banyuls is a very nice and clean village. We had nice walks in the evening on the promenade and enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. The beach in Banyuls is a pebble beach, but the coulisse behind and the mountains around makes it a splendid place to swim and relax. There are sand beaches in the neighboring cities as well (you need a car to get there though). I would definitively recommend to have a rental car. We used to walk a lot, but it could be beneficial due the house is somewhat uphill. For those who spot the railways running close to the house – don’t bother about this at all. A few trains ride very seldom (ca. 5-6 per day) and are super silent. We didn’t hear any trains riding at night (I think there is none). Absolutely no problem with this and no danger for children or whatever (no chance to get on the rails). Jill and Kevin greatly welcomed us and patiently waited for us after we came 4 hours later as originally planned. Thank you! And finally – don’t need to pack any books for your vacation! This is the only vacation house I ever saw which has such a good and clever selected library put together for families on vacation. There is enough for everybody: either you want to read or simply browse through the pictures of whatever comes into your mind – all is there. We would definitively recommend this house to everybody (with or without children) and would return again without any hesitation (if France wouldn’t be so nice and there wouldn’t be so many other places to see). Jill and Kevin, thanks a lot for offering your house and allowing us having such a nice vacation which we will remember for many, many years to come.
