I struggled to sleep for two reasons, the rooms were so warm and when I opened the window to cool down, the road noise was terrible. "The photo in the review is not the apartment we stopped in. The apartment we stopped in is definitely getting a little tired with a few repairs required however it has everything you want and nothing you don’t need. Would recommend for those transiting through Mansfield. The area (given I grew up there) is one of the better areas of Mansfield and the property is gated so nice and secure."

"This large and very well presented B&B property is ideally situated to visit nearby Hardwick Hall and is just off the motorway. In a safe, rural location, it is purpose built and has plenty of safe easy parking. Our room was spacious well appointed, albeit somewhat functional and lacking decorative touches. The walls are very thin, so our loud neighbour kept us awake most of the night. Breakfast was simple but more than adequate."

After a five hour drive we are always met with a friendly smile from the receptionist, quite often Caitlin, which automatically makes us feel welcome and lifts us from that journey.
