Narrow country lanes lead down to the property, which is typical for the area and sets the scene for rural walks and bike rides. For more outdoor adventures, the magical Exmoor National Park (15 miles) charms with its varied landscapes of rugged moorland, wooded valleys, scenic hills, and dramatic coastlines. Similar scenery can be found further afield across Dartmoor National Park (27 miles). Transform your rural getaway into a seaside holiday by exploring the sun-soaked North Devon coastline which sits just 12 miles away. Resorts with traditional amusements and golden beaches include Westward Ho! (12 miles), Saunton (13.5 miles), Woolacombe (18 miles), and Ilfracombe (19 miles). For typical Devonshire towns and villages, visit Barnstaple (6 miles), Bideford (8 miles), and South Molton (12 miles).
On arrival, take a moment to appreciate the far-reaching views that surround you, as well as the stone exterior of the cottage. The charm continues inside as you step into the entrance hall and then further on to the open-plan living space via the rear courtyard. This stylish space is the social heart of the home and combines a well-appointed kitchen with a diner and lounge. Here, wooden panelled walls and floors combine with tasteful fixtures and furnishings. To your right is the cosy lounge space where sumptuous seating is set around a wall-mounted Smart TV that sits above an inviting pebble-effect electric fire. When stomachs start to rumble, cross the room and find that the chic kitchen boasts all the space and equipment needed to cook up memorable holiday feasts. Gather at the glass dining table nearby to enjoy the chef’s work or dine alfresco out in the furnished courtyard garden. When day turns to night, follow the stairs to the first floor where two delightful bedrooms await, both with stylish, calming decor. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed as well as a Smart TV and en-suite shower room. Completing the interior, the second bedroom offers a king-size bed and a well-equipped en-suite bathroom.
Outside, make full use of the peaceful courtyard garden to the rear, which is perfectly safe for children and dogs thanks to its enclosed borders. Enjoy quiet morning coffees and evening tipples out here using the table and chairs provided and fire up the charcoal BBQ to create al fresco memories together. Guests are also welcome to explore the farm via some walking trails.
