"We liked that it was located inbetween farm land and hills. What we didn't like was the stairs were well used to the point of almost being unsafe. But they are authentic for the time period when it was built."

"This was a magnificent place! Beautiful. Hosts are a wonderful family that invited us into their home. Amazing pool. Make sure to enter from the city. Google took us the long way in on a very tight, windy road. Avoid that. "

"We spent wonderful week there. The hosts are very welcome and ready to give you any help you need. The place is quiet and there is beautiful panorama from the taras. The house is comfortable, clean and cosy. The jacuzzi is also amazing thing on top of it. It's a good base for visiting many places in Umbria. It's possible to get from the house to provincionale road in 7 minutes."

"This is a charming but very old home. It really is medieval with stone walls and floors. Updated bathrooms and kitchen. If you have mobility issues this is not the place for you. Steps to and from the front door and steps throughout the home. The owner was great and communicated well. We loved Todi, great little town and central location for visiting the hill towns. "Villa Eleanora is in quite a lovely location convenient to many sites in Umbria. The facilities were very well taken care of and clean. The outdoor terrace and pool areas were really lovely. Also, the Porta Romana train station is a 6 minute walk - from there you have access to all of Italy. We used the villa primarily as a base to get out and see Umbria, e.g., Todi, Spoleto, Spello, Assisi, Montefalco, Orvieto. "Great hotel in former palazza. Lovely staff. Recommend. One beware: if coming by train, Google maps will tell you the train is 230 m from the funicular. This is wrong. The 230 m refers to the escalator to a parking area. The hotel is 1.3 kilometres from the top of the funicular which leaves from opposite the railway station. From the funicular, walk up Cavour which is about 10-15 degrees on the left and is the main street. There is then one left turn about 150 m from the hotel. Use your phone. I believe you can also catch a mini bus or a very overpriced taxi from the station but we didn’t sight either."

"This was our first time to Orvieto. This property is at the top of a small mountain facing the village. Wonderful view, especially in the morning with the sun at low angle. The room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast had many options, and they will cook for you if you wish. We had a car, there was plenty of parking. The owners were at the property while we were there and provided us with lots of information and conversation. Very nice place, but best it is about a 2 mile drive into the village. If your not driving to Orvieto, you may want to consider staying in town. "
