"Reviews about this hotel seem to be either great or awfull, nothing in between! So, to start, no this is not a 5* hotel! Maybe 3/4*. However, to be fair the price is not 5* either. It is a nice hotel, luxurious in it's age no doubt (50 years ago?) but still pleasant and in a great location just 5 minutes walk to the old city. Certainly it is not in a slum as someone reported. "Our first room was disgusting. The AC unit leaked, wallpaper peeling off the walls, the door paint was coming off, and the room and bathroom looked nothing like the pictures. Once we complained we were given a junior suite which was as nicer, but still not great. The bed was falling in like a cardboard box. On top of all that, not once did they ask for identification, nor did they provide a code to get back into the building after 10. Stay anywhere else. "

"We only stay one night. The staff were helpful and attentive. They were accommodating when we check in early. The location was good easy walk to ports, markets and restaurants. The hotel was clean with coffee and tea in room. Room was small but we went there to explore so not much time was spent in the room. We would stay again for a night or two. Thank you!"

"A lovely contemporary villa for four with a shared pool overlooking the port of Bastia . Spent a week exploring this beautiful mountainous region with visits to St Florent and Cap Corse . Found a local sandy beach great for swimming and sunbathing. Visitors need to be aware of the steep climb to the villa itself and driving over the mountain routes which offer fantastic views. It has all the amenities necessary for an enjoyable stay and Paul, the host, is attentive and informative.
