We enjoyed some lovely walks and explored the castle and church. In the evenings we played board games in the cosy sitting room and the formal dining room made mealtimes special. "We booked the property as we were attending a family wedding in the area and we are so glad we did. The location of the cottage is lovely, with a grassed area at the front and paddocks behind. My son was completely in love with the horses, and also enjoyed regular visits from residents dog Bella and cat Archie! The property itself is lovely and homely and we felt really welcome by owner Laura, who came out to say hello when we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised to find that Laura has left us...

"The barn conversion is set in stunning Shropshire scenery. When we arrived we received a warm welcome from the owner. The property is warm and comfortable with many original features. There was plenty of room for the 11 family members in our group - lots of comfy armchairs, and pretty bedlinen on all the beds. The kitchen was slightly small for so large a group but we managed without a problem. There is a large Sainsbury's store within easy reach and we found plenty to do."

"The hotel itself is gorgeous. The bar area had a lovely luxurious cosy feel to it with a good range of cocktails. The bedrooms were large with very comfy superking beds and i am fussy! Fabulous breakfast and very good service from friendly and smiley staff!! "

Gastro pub with rooms worth checking out.

"Loved our little one night trip last night. Perfect stopping off point to visit Ludlow as it was only 30 minutes away today. The staff were all so lovely, chatty and accommodating and the food was exceptional. The room had everything we needed and we loved being able to sit and drink by the log burner before our delicious food and local real ale. We will be back so that we can enjoy the countryside in better weather. The choice of food was amazing and the quality and quantity impressive. Breakfast was delicious. "
