"No space to move. Shower cubicle encrusted with grime, basin without hot water, no toilet paper. Nobody available to assist with anything. Guests are given a contact number, but get hung up on if they ring it. On the plus side, the bed was reasonably comfortable. Seriously, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else."

"This location is a bit up the mountain (I'm sure it is fantastic for skiing but we visited in August). As such, it is away from the nutty tourist centre and the views are fantastic. The local bus service is super efficient and a brilliant way to get to the top if you do not want to hike the slope up. The flat itself is spacious and bright. It was amenable to self-catering, and had excellent laundry facilities."

"Communication with the host (Hanny) was very good. She responded promptly after we requested information a few days prior to our stay via e-mail. The location of the appartement is away from the village of Marbach going up the mountain (you need a car to get there). The appartment is on the top floor of the farm house. The home itself was very nice, 3 bedrooms and lots of room for everyone. "Eagles Nest had breath taking view of Grindelwald & mountains, apartment had all amenities we needed. The beds were very comfortable. Only problem we had was local bus timetable to the house was very difficult to work out, none of the drivers were very helpful and buses seemed to finish by 6.45pm. The 1 taxi driver wasn’t always available & charged a premium. It was quite a hike uphill from the village (especially if you’re a bit older)which made it difficult to eat out downtown. "
