Cozy
The cottage was small, but had everything we needed. The little courtyard was a great place to drink my coffee in the morning and the dogs enjoyed the freedom. Our hostess was very responsive and checked in to make sure we had everything or had any questions. We would stay there again.

Cute little Cottage
We were in town to visit our daughter. The cottage was in great proximity to her house. We could walk to her apartment! The cottage itself was cute and clean, very well maintained. There were items available for use if you were going biking or to the beach. The host was available, if we needed. Highly recommend this place for your Beaufort visit.

A great little place
We enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very thoughtful in providing “extra” little things to help us be comfortable in the cottage, Some more light on the pathway leading in would be good. We used our cell phones each evening but it was hard when we carried things and led our dogs. It could use a little updating of the couch and a new paint job but the house was cozy and and in a great location to walk to the places of interest in Beaufort.

Secluded and Private
The cottage is an easy walk to downtown, so it was a great home base for me for First Friday and the Shrimp Festival. Thank you for the thoughtful little welcome basket. What a nice touch! Molly enjoyed sitting on the porch with me without being on a leash. She liked having the freedom to roam around and explore the little garden. A perfectly private little place for me and Molly.

Location, location, location!
You could not be in a better location for visiting the beautiful little quaint town of Beaufort, SC. A few block stroll passing both cottages and grand homes (and a bagel shop!) will lead you to the quaint & friendly downtown. We stayed for 9 weeks at the sanctuary cottage. Denise & Berry were responsive to our questions and requests and as helpful as they could be. The bed is comfortable! The kitchen is tiny but we were able to make some excellent and memorable meals over our stay. The few things that we needed or asked about, Denise ordered and had delivered in a day or two. I would describe the decor of the cottage as “shabby-chic cottage.” Nothing glamorous but it meets your needs.

Worst experience ever! Doubt I'll ever use VRBO again.
Nothing matched the online photos. Place was a filthy dump. Terrible lighting, had to walk in total darkness to get from car to cottage. Landlord refused to address any issue and when we asked she resorted to insults and threats. Most lights were broken or faulty (not safe), too dark to read. Way too many extension cords plugged into too few outlets. The landlord seemed to always be drinking and generally frightened us so we left early. Chats with VRBO were of no help!

Sweet Sanctuary!!
Denise’s “Sanctuary Cottage” was my refuge from Hurricane Helene. It was such a bright spot for me after leaving the wreckage in Augusta Georgia. The cottage was perfectly appointed with everything I could possibly need!!f I had my small dog with me, we walked to the marina and the downtown of Beaufort.everyday. We had the best time!! I can’t wait to visit again!!

Great location
Great location made for an easy walk to the waterfront. The absolute only thing I would suggest would be to trim back the growth on the fences. Otherwise, was excellent! Enjoyed our stay!
