Sandviken is a historic and charming neighborhood in Bergen, known for its picturesque wooden houses, narrow streets, and proximity to the sea. The neighborhood boasts several popular restaurants and cafes serving both local and international cuisine. Sandviken is also home to several art galleries and small shops selling unique products and crafts. There are several parks and hiking trails in the area, and you can easily take a walk along the shore or up to the mountains to enjoy the fantastic views of the city and fjord. The neighborhood is just a short walk from the city center and is well-connected by public transport, making it easy to explore other parts of the city.

GETTING AROUND THE CITY:

BUS - Stops in Olav Kyrres gate or Torget will take you wherever you need to go.

LIGHT RAIL - From the end stop at Byparken, you can take the light rail all the way to the airport.

BIKE SHARE / ELECTRIC SCOOTER - Find stations all over the city with bikes and electric scooters available for rent through an app. Super fun and convenient!

PARKING: The easiest parking solution is Birkebeinersenteret, only 250 meters away. The daily rate is approximately 250 NOK. You can also find options by the street and pay with the "P I Bergen" app. Make sure to check the local regulations!

Perfect Location
The host was very helpful in guiding us to and inside the property when we arrived late at night (our phones weren’t so helpful and took a while to connect to cell service to read the instructions.) We recommend restarting phones asap upon arrival in Bergen. Conveniently located in a neighborhood close to busses and grocery with all the comforts of home Lovely Pub nearby, Dr Weiseners. Great food and helpful staff ❤️. We hope to come again to Bergen!
