"The place is in a wonderful location and very beautiful old hotel. Maybe don’t go on the days of carnival if you want to sleep. We were not offered any VIP service as Expedia said. Darci hotel manager was very friendly. We were supposed to be given free one drink every night but only got it once. I believe the young woman on front desk was in training and a lot got missed in the process. However, it is a very nice place to stay. "The line for a drink at the bar was 20 people deep, so no wine for me last night. The bedroom was to hot, turned the A/C on and it was to loud so could not sleep. I could hear people walking around upstairs. Whilst the hotel can not be blamed for the rain hitting the windows, they could have the trees cut back to atop the branches hitting the windows in the wind. "
