The location was great and the staff are super helpful! The vibe of this place is really great for young ppl wanting to travel and meet people and hang out in the bar/lobby. 4/5 stars cuz the bathrooms weren't always super clean or would be occupied. Would definitely stay here again!

I had a fantastic stay! The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Loved that they supplied free towels. The room was large with plenty of space to sort my belongings. The bathroom was an entire room with the toilet and shower! It was right next to multiple transit options! Excited to stay again in a week.

The location was great and the facilities were always clean and in order. I think the showers sometimes are inconsistent on temperature and how long they run but they work fine otherwise. The bar has cheap drinks and an easy place to socialize as well.

The Hearts of Gold was perfect for what I needed: a safe, low-cost, friendly place in an interesting neighborhood (Mitte) with easy transport access to all other parts of Berlin (Zoo, Philharmonic) and the airport. The 24-hour complimentary coffee/tea was a much appreciated extra!

Very good location

This ended up being a good choice for what I wanted to do. At first I was disappointed that the location wasn't in the heart of any district, but.it ended up being very convenient to S-bahn and thus everything.

Great hostel! Although breakfast price was way too high so bought breakfast elsewhere, and it looked like it was understaffed with the staff being overworked. It was very nice to get to know everyone in my room, which made for easy friends when you're travelling solo. However, as a light sleeper, I struggled to sleep with 7 other people in the room and bed that squeal whenever someone moves. The staff was incredible, and the location cannot be beat. If you're a good sleeper, I would probably recommend this hostel.

Great hostel with anything you need. 24-hour reception, basic breakfast for 10 EUR, bathrooms could be cleaner and smell bad. Be careful not to get charged twice. Initially, they said only one bed was booked and later blamed it on Expedia.
