"The house is NOT appropriate for winter rental letting. The main room's only heating system is the old fashionned fire place. The house is not insulated at all. There are gaps around the doors which we tried to block with our sleeping bags; there was no functionning heaters in any of the bedrooms. The room was small with bed against the wall so accessible from one side only. The bed itself was comfortable. Being convenient for the route it was also noisy all night if you are a light sleeper ear plugs would help. But it was cheap! "

An Unforgettable and Relaxing Escape: A Perfect Holiday Retreat

"We had such a wonderful relaxing time here, that we cannot recommend it enough. The pictures really don't do the glorious location justice and it is much better in real life. The accommodation was clean and easy to care for. It has everything you would need and there is a supermarket just across the road for supplies, which we found very useful. It was an excellent point to start from for exploring the area and we found Marans, La Rochelle and the local water park of O'Gliss all very enjoyable day trips. When you are not exploring the local area it is a very relaxing place to just chill out and enjoy the pool or a walk along the fields and canals nearby. We saw hares, hoopoes and egrets to name a few. The sunsets are amazing. It was by far the best and most relaxing holiday we have ever had. Our hosts could not have been more friendly and kind and accommodating. They respected our privacy and we respected theirs, but they were also there to help with anything and also to ensure that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back! We can't recommend this holiday home / gite enough! "
