Luxurious and spacious two-bedroom self-contained apartment within a stately home, Moreton House. Set on the outskirts of the historic port town of Bideford by the beautiful North Devon coast.

Enjoy a huge and bright open-plan reception room with well equipped kitchen and breakfast bar, dining table and lounge. Stunning LaCanche range cooker and American style fridge freezer. French doors open onto a private BBQ deck and seating area with fire pit. In winter enjoy the cosy woodburning stove.

Two huge bedrooms, both ensuite with walk in showers; master also has a double ended bath. Apartment is on the ground floor with easy access to parking and gardens, level (no steps) throughout and Master suite is wheelchair accessible.

Enjoy free roam of our 5 acre mature tree-lined grounds, with secret garden BBQ and gazebo space, slide and swings, garden games, croquet lawn and peace! The apartment shares access to our indoor children's playroom, with soft play, trampoline, table football, air hockey and ping pong. Beach games and equipment, bikes, boards and SUPs available to borrow. Space to store and service boards, bikes, golf kit etc.

Plenty of free off-street parking right near the door. Fast EV charging available.

Moreton House was originally a stately home, then a boarding school for 50 years. Now privately owned it has been fully renovated to celebrate the history and period features and updated to include all modern luxuries. Wifi throughout, underfloor and central heating, plus woodburner. Large smart TVs in bedrooms and main lounge. DAB radio/bluetooth music player.

Ideal for combining with neighbouring apartments and suites for two or more families travelling together or for a 3G (3 generation) holiday.

Bideford is located on the estuary of the river Torridge, the setting for Tarka the Otter. Enjoy paddling or cycling along the river while trying to catch a glimpse of the otters or kingfishers today. The Lundy ferry runs from Bideford Quay, and the town is well located to explore the north Devon beaches and coast (nearest is the 2 mile sands of Westward Ho!) for surfing and watersports, dog walking or swimming. Easy reach of Tarka trail cycling route and Southwest Coast Path walking trail. Close to the famous villages of Clovelly and Appledore. An easy drive to Dartmoor or Exmoor. Local pubs, cafes, farm produce and fresh fish. All within 2 mins of the main A39 Atlantic Highway, 1 hour from the M5 at Tiverton, 3. 5 hours from London. No need to get lost in the tiny Devon lanes unless you choose to!

A little slice of heaven!
Everything we could have asked for and more…we stayed in the Kingsley Suite which was luxurious, clean and welcoming. The grounds are really lush and green and well kept. So peaceful and quiet. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying at Morton House.
