December Birthday Weekend
We rented the cabin for my daughter’s 12th birthday weekend. Everything was great and just as described except for the backyard. Backyard seems to be unkept. We had great weather so, we would have loved to spend some time back there. Also, the sectional is very old, dirty, and broken. Considering the condition of the sofa, I would say the cabin sleeps more like 6. I would not sleep on that sofa bed. It was a confortable stay. My daughters loved the bunk beds. Kitchen had all basic necessities. Restroom also had basic necessities. I would recommend bringing your own towels. The provider towels were new and very linty. It seemed like they had not been washed. All things considered we really enjoyed our stay. Cabin had cable and we brought up our Roku. We enjoyed local recreations during the day, and cozy movie nights by the fire.

Spontaneous Big Bear Shenanigans
My experience with the Cozy Cabin was overall a great experience! Extremely cozy, inviting and warm. I felt right at home. Not far from the lake and all the stores are nearby. A perfect getaway with a partner and or with family members. A few cob webs on barbecue, kitchen ceiling and cracks in the sliding door sliding door. There were just a few ants in the kitchen, but hey...it is the mountains/woods right!? Water was also left in coffee pot. Although there were some cleaning or detailed touch ups that could’ve been taken care of, I am still not complaining! I was willing to accept it and help clean myself due to the immediate correspondence of the owners communication. The bathroom was clean and a great size for this cozy home. I loved spending time in the living room playing games and having movie night. We were able to use the fire place which was icing on the cake and overall made our cabin experience peaceful and more of a bonding collaboration. We have a great view of the stars from the front and backyard. We even got to see a handsome raccoon cruising along the backyard at night which was so awesome! Lots of blue jays and squirrels too. Again overall experience was amazing and I wouldn’t mind staying in the Cozy Cabin again!

Cozy and lots of snow
Our family of 8 enjoyed the cabin. Plenty of room and a great location. Needs to be updated with some new furniture and kitchen supplies, but it was a good stay for the price.

Cute cottage
Was pretty upset that the hot tub wasn’t functioning and looked out of service for at least a year. The sheets on the pull out couch were dirty, and the mattresses on the bunk beds were really old and worn, making it painful to sleep on. Some dishes had to be washed before we used them. Rules were posted, making it very helpful and easy to follow cabin rules and there was a ps2 with a few games to play! Couldn’t find the cords but still really nice of them to provide! Washer and dryer was nice lol, great heating throughout cabin

Poor communication and customer service
The spa was half filled and dirty. When I contacted the owner about it, the response was that the pipes broke a few weeks ago and a repair man would be out to fix it. We were not notified of this prior to our arrival. Or during the booking process. This was the last reponse we got from the owners. Day 2: Spa looks exsactly the same. The owners did not respond to any of my texts regarding follow up to the spa. We booked this cabin for the spa. To have a soak after a day on the slopes. The spa was dirty and non-operational. On top of that we still got charged the FULL amount. Horrible customer service. Also the water heater ran out of hot water after washing minimal dishes. My child had to take a sponge bath using boiled water from the stove. I don't know why it was doing that... but again... did NOT get any response at all when I asked about it. Funny how people don't want to bother with you when you're having a problem with their product.... but boy are they quick to take your money!!!! We didn't even want to use the fireplace because if the house smells like smoke you could lose your deposit. Overall this experience sucked. It started off well with high hopes, but as we kept asking questions and not getting answers I felt sick. We travelled thousands of miles to see big bear. And to deal with this was terrible and embarrassing. I really feel like these owners would just leave you high and dry and take your money. If you like working amenities and costumer service consider someplace more commercialized. The cost would be about the same. On the plus side: the cabin was cozy. Heater worked (thank god). One bed was comfortable and the couch was comfy for watching basic cable.

Thanksgiving Get Away
I had seen the cabin online, my husbands first impression was "I hope it looks better inside than the outside". We went in and it was freezing, couldn't get the heater to work. We hadn't bought firewood yet for the fireplace. I must say the fireplace is very nice. Property management had to come and check heater, my husband stayed to wait for the repairman. So I left to buy firewood and steaks for dinner to BBQ. Well make a long story short we didn't BBQ. We were there for Thanksgiving dinner, when I opened the oven it was very dirty. The refrigerator was was clean. If we were going to use the hot-tub we would of had to wait for someone to come and fill it. I happen to hear a noise and the spa was on and it had alittle water on the bottom. I guess someone left it on. The kitchen lighting and throughout the cabin was horrible. One lamp in the living room so it made it really dark. I like a lot of lighting, especially in the kitchen. We ended spending our dinner at the timeshare (world mark) that my son was staying at. We hauled everything over there cause I had cooked mostly everything the night before. They had a dining room, and a bar area with 3 stools so we all sat comfortably. Check the cupboard for the stuff that they have there which is very nice, however some of the stuff was expired. We washed some clothes and when I went to put in the clothes in the dryer, the clothes were sopping wet. I had to run the spin cycle twice and finally I had to wring the water out of the clothes by hand cause the spin cycle was not doing its job. and of course I had to run the dryer a couple of time for the clothes to dry. It just seemed like it one thing after another. I called the owner, to address the issues I had, he responded promptly and he will address the cleaning issues that I sent pictures of. I don't want to bash the place but it does need alittle TLC. Its nice inside but it wasn't for us. Make note that it only has one bathroom downstairs. The bedrooms are upstairs so coming down the steep stairs at night is not fun. You have to keep the stair light on all night. This was our first time staying in Big Bear, I wished it would of been a better experience. I think if it was alittle cleaner we could of made the best of it, but it kind of gross us out. The pictures on the internet look great so I thought it would be a nice place to stay. My husband did not agree.
